I'm the only one who's gonna say this: I liked 2018 the best, it was simple, easier to understand and had plenty excitement to encourage me to continue watching, as I usual find things boring easily and turn them off. Now I'm not trying to bash on any other grinch related things, I loved them all, but 2018 was just my favourite out of each and every one. The 2018 grinch movie was more aimed for children as you can tell, also, the grinch interacted with the whos in 2018, well... he gos to whoville to go to the grocery store, and sometimes stops for random things. The 2018 just had more entertainment in my opinion. All grinch movies were awesome though (and other things that involve grinch)! 👍😊

An argument for 2018 Grinch: I feel that this movie was loyal to the book and the original 1966 animated version! They didn't change who the character's were and they didn't change the main plot of the story. Instead, they added more characters to contribute to the good story telling, a proper motivation for not only the grinch, but for the other characters as well, and an entire road of character development! It all made sence! We didn't have an unnecessary love story and we most certainly did not have bad behaving whos and sex jokes. The Grinch was decent, not gross and evil. You can argue that Ted Geisel's Grinch is supposed to be evil, but looking back, The original grinch didn't even interact with the whos! He just hated all the noise they would make. He didn't burn down trees or eat glass. Sure he did abuse his dog, but after his heart grew three sizes bigger, he actually treated his dog fairly! We could see this is the two other books Dr.Seuss wrote tittled "I am Max" and "I am Cindy Lou who". They happen right after Christmas. Some are mad that they took the abusive aspect away from him, but hey! If Jim Carrey's movie could change and rearrange everything then I'm pretty sure this shouldn't bother most people. I must say the interaction between the Grinch and the animals in this film were quite fun to watch! In all honesty, Dr.Seuss made one dimensional character's who were only meant to convey a message. Of course I'm not saying Jim Carrey's is bad or you should not like it, but if we are going to start comparing carrey's to Cumberbatch's grinch then we need to set the two beside each other. This movie made sence while the other didn't. The atmosphere, animation and music we see in this film is simply candy to one's ears and eyes and the comedy was actually funny! This may be the same studio who cursed us with fart jokes in every one of their films like the minions or Sing, but for once it seemed like they actually cared about the quality of their movie! Now that alone deserves to be appreciated. My only conclusion as to why people didn't enjoy this grinch so much is because it was mostly directed towards a younger audience. It was soft. It didn't have that spark of weirdness. Jim Carrey's had adult jokes and creepy acting which the older audiences enjoyed a lot (12 and up)! It explains why most people found it boring, but bashing on it endlessy for being more decent is unacceptable. It ruins everyone's fun. I enjoyed this Grinch a lot. It has so much for us to breathe in, yet it's still loyal to Ted Geisel's book and animated short. It's perfect.

The 2018 one isn’t really bad, it’s just a bit underwhelming. The 1966 one is a classic, and while I’m not a big fan of the 2000 one, I do get yeah people like it, because the makeup is cool, and Jim Carry as the Grinch is very entertaining. So I think that’s why the 2018 one gets shit on by some, but it’s honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. At best, it’s decent and harmless, but nothing memorable.

Has anyoen else noticed how the Grinchs appearance changes in the 1966 - 1982 moives? In the 1966 one his a bright green color with yellow eyes and a break shapped upper jaw and a nose shapped like an arrow. In the 1977 Halloween one hes a much duller green ,his eyes are now orange and red, his upper jaw isn;t as beak shaped and his nose his now round shaped, and he's not as slimm as he was in the 1966 one. In teh 1982 one he's a still a dull but a bit brighter green, his nose now sticks out, he doesn't wear someone around his neck, his fur is more smooth then the preivious version and he look a bit like a stuff animal in it. And unlike his 1966 and 1977 verions he lives in a house and not in a cave in a mountian near whoville. Also the tuff on top of his head seem to get shorter. That got me theroizing that the 1977 and 1982 ones aren't the same grinch as in the 1966 one. So there are actually 3 Grinches in Seuss Land. One that Learned the joys of Christmas, one that that was reminded of the promise that he made to his mother to honnor her memory, and one that didn't DIDN'T hacve a redemtion arc and will keep terroizing the who's of Who-ville every grinch night. Now that i think of it.... there are 3 versions of who-ville also! The one in 1966 version thats all pink and the houses are conected by the designs of the houses. The one in Grinch nigth that aren't attached in a way and are more country based designed, and the one in the dust from Horrtens hear a who!
