Little tip for your cookie baking: get yourself a small ice cream scoop and use that to scoop out your dough. The cookies will all be the same size and cook evenly.

U read baking soda but u put in baking powder. It’s two different ingredients.

To soften butter boil a glass of water in the microwave and then dump it out and put the glass over the stick of butter and it softens in a few minutes

As someone who has worked at both Dunkin and Starbucks, I can tell you that paying for the person behind you can be a bit complicated for the person working the window and can slow things down, especially when it causes a chain reaction. An alternative, if you want to do something kind, is to leave a tip for the employees or go inside and pay for someone as they're being rung up.

Love your content! One tip my grandma taught me when baking...Always use room temp ingredients....Eggs, butter, buttermilk, etc it makes everything creamier and always use the paddle attachment when making cakes, cookies, buttercreams etc. Love watching you try new things both in and out of the kitchen! You're an amazing person!!

Excellent advice. Using the whisk attachment for cookie dough does not cream the butter/sugar to the correct texture and it doesn't allow the flour to mix properly either. (it will also cause the Kitchenaid mixer to overheat and will ruin the motor) The paddle is the way to go.

Next time you use your kitchen aid, use the beater attachment for your final mix, because the whisk shouldn’t really be used for dough. Using the wrong attachment could damage your machine 💕🤗 love you

a good hack for butter is also pouring boiling water in a tall glass then after a lil bit throw water out and put ur sticks in the cup and flip the cup upside down and give it a bit the warmth with help thaw ur butter as well

Alex, you can also just microwave a cup of water, pour out the water, and turn the hot cup upside down over the butter. After a minute or so, it will be softened. 😉

It might be weird but when these types of situations happen like the molasses situation I love to see how people handle the situation. Freak out, be dramatic, get mad or frustrated, improvise like you did or just be like oh well, find a different recipe. It’s just so interesting to me.

Alex, if you ever need to flatten your cookies when they come out of the oven oven, take a flat spatula and give them a light tap 😊 the spatula flattens the cookies so evenly, and then you don’t have to burn your fingertips off! Also, rolling any kind of ginger or molasses cookie in sugar before going in the oven makes a really pretty crackle effect on the cookie as it cools, plus makes them even tastier!

Good morning Alex. Your cookies look yummy! I bake 12 different kinds every year for family/gifts and my snowballs, Italian knots and chocolate biscotti are always the most requested. It’s definitely costly and time consuming but worth it bc everyone enjoys them 😋🍪

I make 5 different types of cookies for Christmas😮. I split it between a few days, I make at least 2 doughs a day, then have them all ready to go in the fridge, then I bake them all in one day. It makes the process so much smoother to split it between days

Hi! Since you like baking for the holidays, maybe try to find bigger sizes of all the ingredients, like sugar, butter, flour, vanilla, etc., perhaps in a baking supply store, it will save you time, money and energy. Stock up on October and you’ll have plenty. ( parchment paper, baking powder & soda, molasses, sprinkles, cinnamon, baggies, boxes, tins, and so much more) Even I’m excited to bake something! If your microwave is a Samsung it probably has a "soften/melt" button which is engineered to perfectly soften butter, it even asks how many sticks.
