The thing I love about Dirt's opponents is when they try to "diss" Dirt by rapping in multi's, and then the multi's end up being the hottest part of their verses.

@dprophetic That's a really good point, and why hopefully in judged battles crowd reaction doesn't weight to heavily on the judge's decision. There's no way you can really ask anyone to switch up their style that much. Everyone has their own style and hopefully they stick to it no matter where you are.

Great battle! I was surprised how hard PH came with it. Dirt was sick on the lyrical tip. I like how PH did a preemptive strike in rd 1 by speaking on Dirts multis. If Dirt had matched PH's projection, he might have won. But PH had it all...lyrics, personals, projection, and timing. Dirt came at him though speaking on how he wasn't paying emcees. And if that's true, that's bad business!

This was by far PH's best performance. He's really stepped up his game in his last two battles. He commanded the stage with intensity, wit and conviction. Dirt needs to take these last two losses as a sign that he needs to add variety to his game. Take some chances and grow, you got the potential to be a lot better.

Dude still has a ton of room for improvement even though he's already proved himself to be among the best.

@radiosurgery eh i guess it's matter of perspective. you can consider it switching your style, but I look at like you are just evolving your style and adding other dynamics. it doesn't have to be a drastic switch, just be mindful of what gets the crown going. when you look at iron, hollow, soul kahn, and others who battle in different leagues you see how they adjust without losing their identity.

Round 1: Dirt Round 2: PH Round 3: Tie Many of Dirt's lines were over-looked. The crowd was talking during Dirt's verses while they reacted more for PH's lines which some were mediocre. I would have liked to see an OT but that's just my opinion. Nice battle though.

It seems that Dirt got thrust into the big time too quickly. He basically went from wack to soso to top tier, he definitely needed something in the middle. This shows that he is not at that level yet. If he works on his delivery and mixes up his schemes so he isn't just coming with excessive multies then he will be a monster soon. PH definitely got 2 rounds on him here.

It was a good strategic move for PH to go first, Dirt's verses seemed lifeless after PH delivered his. This got me wondering if this was Dirt on a bad day or the battles with him I like was Dirt perfoming above his capabilities. PH got round 1 & 3, 2 was pretty sub-par for both.

Close, quality battle. I'm gonna punk out and declare it a draw. PH had a few too many riders in his corner, a couple of semi-generic bars. Dirt had a few too many jokey bars and lines that only exist to serve the multi-rhyme. That aside, very strong performance from both. Would've loved to see an OT.

I'm not a big fan of PH but he beasted this one. Dirt was really dope too but even tho the bars were on point, they did't strike like PH's did this time. It was a close battle, but PH got it. Dirt is still top tier IMO but he needs to take less battles now & really make each performance epic. He climbed that ladder, now he can afford to be picky & take time to to destroy someone.

Honestly I think that everyone's is just used to his multi's. STuff like that will only work for so long until people figure out how to beat it. Dirt should have have been slightly more strategic in this battle, multi's and jokes weren't the formula for winning here. If it was he would have been the winner hands down. PH's energy, delivery, and timing took it here. Also he kept the momentum going. His consistency was crazy. Great Battle in general. Gotta appreciate the good ones...they're rare

PH got this. Dirt spits good shit, but I think his weakness is that his mellow style is susceptible to an aggressive one. He has to rely on really strong bars to combat it, but that's not easy to do all battle long. PH and Storm are aggressive battlers.
