Been there 3 times. Been to First, Bachalpsee. Walked to Grosse Scheidegg, Meiringen. Walked to Kleine Scheidegg (the most difficult walk for me), saw the Jungfrau in the distance, and on to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. This is what nature should look like to me. This is my second home.

I'd forgotten just how beautiful the alpine scenery in Switzerland is; the last time I was there was about 30 years ago. The scenery of the alpine areas in the South Island of New Zealand is pretty spectacular (where I'm from), but how do you compete with scenery like that surrounding Grindlewald? You can't, it's quite ethereal - heaven on earth.
