This looks like a great run for a beginner's trip. Planning on the Buffalo next Spring and your content/videos are the BEST I've found. Thank you for sharing😀

@shelliglasow609 Wow, thanks!!! I appreciate the kind comments! You're right, this one is a good run for beginners. Pretty much most of the Buffalo is though. Thanks for watching!

@Holistic Hikes Thanks for the comment! Yeah, it's definitely a treasured spot around here. It was the first in the country to be designated a National River by the NPS. Absolutely beautiful for the entire length of it, but the Upper portion rivals nearly any place in the country. Just amazing. You can check it out here: www.nps.gov/buff/index.htm

I do that with the cooler. I don’t take ice. I freeze water bottles for day 2 and 3. Have a few unfrozen for day one.

I fill in the gaps with loose ice. But the frozen bottles definitely last a lot longer!

Man I just did bakers ford to south maumee , bakers ford to 36°01'20"N 92°40'18"W then camped, then from there to south maumee, I was so exhausted holy hell, I was on a paddleboard with probably too much gear the weather last night was pretty scary, wind was going off and I didn’t have a rain tarp

@ryguyiskindofaflyguy Yikes! I didn't see what the weather was near the river but I know there were lots of thunderstorms and some tornadoes around the state the last few days. I definitely would've been hesitant to do an overnight last weekend. Glad it worked out for you though.

Good time to float. Water level was decent. Not very many others on the river that day.

It was a great couple of days on the river. Water level was good, not much paddling at all. If not for the impending storm, we would have gone for another night and another full day

Done this one a few times. Good trip! Is that Pescador new? Or is that the same one you took from S. Maumee - Rush? I’ve floated past those first two caves a dozen times and never realized they were there. Ever done Rush to White River? We did that a few years ago. Definitely an over nighter but could be two nights easy. Or as many as you wanted it to be but definitely one night. Was an awesome time on that float. I may have asked you that before 😂 Ps.. Elephant Rock is amazing

@Whole Other Level Outdoors This is the same Pescador I've had for a couple of years now. Same as the other float you mentioned. Funny you mention the Rush to White float. No, I haven't done it yet. But that was our original plan for the weekend of this float. But with storms in the forecast, we moved upriver where we would have options to take out if the weather got bad. I still want to do that one though!

@@AROwnBackyard man, you will love it. You are alone on that stretch. The wildlife we saw was amazing too. Fishing was great too. We hammock camped and that was our only issue. Didn’t really find a lot of places on the water for hammocks but if we had tents, we would have had some great camping spots. Ps, crossing the white was a lil tricky but we made it. Water direction changes and water temp drops ALOT. We hit it when it was flowing hard and no one had tipped us off about that. So be prepared to tackle that when you get there. I think we used Riley’s and they were good but I heard there’s a place a lil down stream that would prob be easier than crossing straight across to Riley

@@WholeOtherLevelOutdoors I used to be a hammock guy, but have used my tent the last few times. Just can't get comfortable in a hammock anymore. As for crossing the White, my friend Gez knows about another takeout just a little ways down the White where you don't have to cross that current. I'll be sure to feature that if I get a chance to do that float.
