Only thing I'd change is put a solid cylinder inside the void area of the shaft and drill holes and weld that area aswell

The sleeves you made for the front driveshafts are probably stronger than the solid shafts because of its larger diameter. Prop shafts are often hollow because the meat in the middle doesn't really do much in torsion. It's more effective to have larger diameter but hollow shaft. Excellent! 🤙

10:59 Tip is to keep the part thats getting knocked into the shaft in dry ice so the metal shrinks so it goes in easier.

The only way I've ever had success extending or shortening axles is grinding both ends of the work piece to a point. On a known straight valley like a piece of angel iron and fill the bevels with weld. I did it to my dune buggy been driving it for 10 years hasn't failed yet. Have to be careful not to over heat so weld rotate weld cool and repeat. Slow but effective.

Excellent work brother! PS: if I'm not mistaken it looks like a certain UAS pilot is learning a little acro mode. That better not be horizon mode. Horizon mode is like training wheels with unpredictable flippy floppies. Real men fly with zero stabilization and rate mode acro only. If you don't crash your quadcopter every once and a while you aren't pushing yourself enough.

Just a note.... if you heat the sleeve and freeze the axle, it adds extra clearance. Used to do that trick for installing cylinder liners. You gotta be damn quick.

Ethan's fabricating and understanding of suspension is getting really good. Despite the broken axle lol. This was already the coolest thing you guys have built and it just keeps getting better. Hopefully someday you'll figure out a way to lower the gearing.
