Grinding away on the 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A keeps the wheels of progress rolling! Is the frame bent??

Removing the hitch assembly and figuring out if the frame is tweaked! Anything we can do to make forward progress is an evening well spent!!

I wouldn’t worry about the frame, thing will twist like a mofo when you off-road anyway, needs to have some flexibility. Dog has the best gig, just worry when he’s going to eat and shit, that’s it, now that’s the life !!! ;)

Willys Overland's quality control was excellent. Subsequent owners judgement was not.

1500 will buy you a new frame that one’s been bitched up and bastardized the right way to fix that would be to cut off the front rails back to the tube and weld on new ones

What are the chances of finding a replacement fame in the event that this one is just too far gone ?

There are new “OE” replacement frames available. Some go to a 2x4” welded tube frame. I’ve seen one here and there on Marketplace also. But, I think I can use this one with a few repairs. That’s the plan at least! Thanks for watching!!
