I actually had insane f2p luck yesterday! I bought the 5 tickets on the reset and decided to use them on Okita's bannner on a whim. What was I going to get anyway? Then on the third ticket I accidentally tapped the screen and suddenly Okita appeared! I almost dropped my tablet in shock. I don't have enough Saber pieces to get her beyond level 60 though...

I actually got lucky in the gacha getting Okitan summer and Cleopatra, but now I’m suffering a little bit getting Himiko. But I believe I can get her (before the deadline of the banner 💀)

Best advice I can give to a f2p is to save your quartz and only spend them on one or two banners a year. Because we are two years behind JP, you can save up to two years in advance for a servant so you should be good. If you can't resist pulling at all during that time, use tickets.
