Yes i find it sad that new age masters don’t care about sharing their knowledge as much as the old masters would, nowadays the few people left with that knowledge keep it to themselves and it will in all selfishness die with them, or should i say include you in that statement ? I think yes.

What a pleasure and a privilege to watch these razor maestros doing their work. Anyone know what the final finishing stone he used was? The pre-finisher was a Belgian stone (coticule or BBW most likely), so maybe the finisher was a Charnley Forest or maybe a Thuringian?

Looked like both stones were cotis. Some can be a fair bit finer than others.

You can get plenty of variations on a single type of stone, sometimes within the same stone. Ive noticed that some coticules have a texture to them with lighter dots and they are not quite as nice as those who have no texture at all. I find it strange that he would use it with oil as it is a waterstone.
