I feel like this thing will be really hard to balance (unless we get BR decompression). It's very vast and well-armed, but it gets slaughtered by missiles against 10.0s and 10.3s.

I feel like that's the only solution at this point. 9Es aren't great missiles, but it gets 4 of them at the same BR as it's "equivalent" missileless Su-7B models, along with being faster and at least to my feel, more maneuverable. Max BR really needs to hurry up and go to at least 12 already.

The performance and armament difference doesn't IMO justify a mere .4 BR separation between the F-105 and the early Su-7Bs.

You jokingly said that you flew the F-105 as closely to the real life designation, but to be fair; Even the USAF didn't actually know what they exactly wanted from the plane. In the end it just became their primary bomber over Vietnam and one of the first successful anti radar aa aircraft.

The Lightning rips at 823 mph at SL and cannot break mach 2 at any altitude. The F-105 can hit 860+ at SL and will exceed mach 2.1. Unless the F-105 player is carrying bombs, the Lightning will never get close to it at any altitude, especially with its short range Red Tops.

Hi DEFYN. Some interesting things about this plane as implemented right now are that it's missing quite a large chunk of thrust according to WTRTI, and as a result it's missing a good bit of top speed at sea level. Additionally, it seems to pull too much aoa which makes its energy retention not so great.

I feel like it's important to mention the F-105D has an obscenely high SL modifier for a tech attacker. Like, higher than most tech fighters, and as high or almost as high as premium attackers.

I can bomb multiple bases AND get a kill yet I'll still loose money if I end up dying and have to pay the repair cost. Idk if it's been nerfed since 6 months ago, but this thing desperately needs a higher multiplier

@@HarrisChoudhry Yeah, the repair cost was basically doubled and the reward multiplier drastically lowered a couple months ago, instead of just raising the BR. I used to make an average of about 50k SL per game with premium with it, with something like 2 bases and 1.3 kills avg per game, with occasional games going as high as 120k SL without boosters.

it was made for FAST low alt interdiction... the airframe and engine are both tuned for that... if stupid gajian modeled it right, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING should be able to catch that thing on the deck.. even modern stuff nowadays would not be able to catch taht thing...

To tell my expierince over this plane to my opinion its the best thing coming to the usa tree so far its so much fun to use and if you get chased by after bombing you lough just pull open that afterburner and say kiss my ass wile shooting away with + 1600kph on the deck no one can catch you even the top tiers have big problem couse this engine i dont know wat its made of but damn that sheer power that just keeps pussing you faster and faster

The flight model on the 105 is completely busted, its been stated by several pilots that it handles like a brick at high and low speeds. Its suprisingly easy and dumb how well you can keep up with turn fighters if you use your flaps and airbrake

This argument maybe flawed, “it’s a brick” so was the F4 but it is no brick in WT, also these pilots went from super maneuverable subsonic planes and f100s to f105s, of course its going to seem less maneuverable. until we have actual stats and not just “pilot statements” I’m gonna be suspicious. I mean the same was said about the P-47s and look how that thing does. If you are only going to believe pilots accounts, then you are going to be disapointed. Physics doesn't care what the real life pilots experienced, nor does Gaijin's physics engine as long as you keep it within the engine's designed parameters.

A few years ago I went and looked at the F-104's take off and landing speeds and those seemed reasonable as well. I'd say that this is a very similar case with pilots being experienced with something easier and or slower and not having adjusted to it.
