In this video I talk a little bit about queer hookups, and my experiences being non binary (and born as woman) on grindr, and what that's been like.

Glad to hear that you've had some good experiences on Grindr. It is primarily for gay and bi men and most folks report that heart connections are few and far between there. Long before the apps gay men tended to compartmentalize sex quite a bit when in sex-specific spaces (now Grindr is one of those spaces, similar to what bathhouses, cruising parks and T-rooms, gym saunas, etc were in the past and still are in many places). I am a gay man, but not in cruise mode these days so don't do the apps myself.

I'm really glad you have had good experiences. I had heard about the diversification of people using Grindr but I don't know anyone personally who isn't gay who has. So I'm really happy that there are fellow NB folk having a good time on there. But yeah like the other person said. While I know that occasionally people have started long term relationships through Grindr that's really not the aim of the app. I suppose if you find the right other person on there though. I think the people that aren't looking for hook-ups definitely get intimidated by the very overt sexual nature of Grindr. So that's something to consider.

Grindr is primarily for and used by gay men, and there is a huge sex-forward hookup culture within gay male culture (as I'm sure everyone knows lol), so if anyone out there is finding trouble with getting matches or any kind of positive attention on grindr, just remember the primary group using the app may not be romantically or sexually interested in people of your identity. And if the hookup thing isnt for you, that's 100% fine. It isn't really for me, which is kind of a problem cuz im a kinky gay guy... However, I am really happy to here that you've had good experiences on grindr as a non-binary person :)
