Excellent content. As an English teacher and having found myself off early in September via covid, I’ve watched a number of your videos today. Feels like CPD. Would be very interesting if you did a specific video on students’ planning of paper 2 answers. When questions/tasks are extremely wordy, I find that students can become overwhelmed and this will cause them difficulty in planning based on specific of question. For instance, there’s a Rich question you mentioned some months ago that was just plain nasty in the busyness of its phrasing: “To what extent do you agree or disagree that Rich makes effective use of a diverse range of Imagery and an engaging style to explore structure and values in society which she considers to be negative or positive?…” I think a lot of lesser-able students, at higher level, would really struggle there in addressing the many elements of the stimulus. Snapshots of students’ answer plans for studies poetry, single text and particularly, plans for answering questions on comp. study would be fantastic on this site. Again, excellent videos Sir.
