By the way wallpaper is a difrent item then drywall, the reason it was colored was becuse you have the mod which changes the appearance of buildings based on the materials they were made of. Wallpaper is way cheaper than that and can be made out of more types of materials. Also you can check the color the wallpaper will be on the site on which you downloaded the mod.

It was because you turned the water cooler off, it has to be on to keep it as a great hall.

if you make a bunch of showers, you could keep the water sieve producing dirt for mealwoods, and other things.

Ahhh things are looking more symmetrical... I like it! Btw for your oxygen production may I suggest looking at cryptic fox's "compact electrolyzer" video. It's self powering once you get it running and it really helped me out getting a stable oxygen production in my base. And i see you also used the pipes from the geyser to hydroponic tiles. easy way to warm up the base! I'm just surprised you haven't found any thimble reed so far. I used the polluted water from my toilets to grow them.

I have never really liked those spom setups but in base electrolyzers work nice and dont need pumps or filters except for the top for hydrogen.

Need to add more storage and sweep up the whole base. Put in a carbon skimmer at the bottom of base.

To keep cool in my base I just use spare hot desalinated water a d use radiant loops with an aquatuner, then disable it and open an alternate route if the water goes below 20°C

Francis john has a good way of strip mining that ive started using. He uses rows of ladders separated by 2 or 3 clear rows. It stops the dupes getting stuck and everything just falls to the bottom. Its pretty quick to do too since ladders are cheap and easy to make.

One thing he does is be sure he's building the stairs with material that's near or on the digging site, to reduce travel times

In my most recent game, I got a mod that makes airlocks (both manual and auto) actually block air and water. The only time they let anything pass is if you set them to open. Its pretty amazing. It makes the game much less tedious when you dont have to worry about waterlocks. Some people probably consider it game changing, but I strongly recommend it.

Clean water will just pass right through your desalinator without any damage or slowdown.

Same applies to the sieve. They'll both shunt water directly out 1:1.

1:05 what happened there last episode was that they peed in their bedrooms and you didn't notice that it fell into the food storage. 24:30 The drecko probably starved because the plants aren't growing because its too hot in that area, the heat is too confined by the insulation, which is also contributing to the food shortage.

Might be time for a CO2 scrubber to allow more room for your oxygen. Also, with the closed plumbing system for bathrooms utilizing the water sieve... do the remaining germs cause any issues? I would have thought piping that water through the showers would get dupes covered in germs. Assuming not? Thanks for making great videos! :)

@@GrindThisGame That makes sense :) There are designs out there that use a couple reservoirs that only burn off the extra when the reservoirs are full but that is probably not worth all the hassle in this instance. Burning it all the time probably adds a bit of heat as well which is useful for this base.

if you irrigate bristle blossoms by hand with hot water, could an HVAC be used to cool the room, or do you still have to use the aquatuner to cool the water first? i know that liquid pipes overrule the HVAC.

the hot water sits in the planters and heats around them. so cooling the liquid works best.

Nope, that doesn't happen. Disabled buildings still count.
