I feel like some hardcore punk bands are more metal than punk tbh. This band is what I would imagine hardcore punk to sound like. Hardcore riffs. Emotional screeching vocals with occasional singing weather that’s clean or with grit. ). Bass with the distortion put all the way up. Killer fast kick drum and hi hat and a few fills every now and then. It’s hardcore but they still keep the punk elements and make it sound punk. A perfect example would be minor threat and early afi from the 90s.
