My heart aches with how much I miss Guanajuato. My mom is from Leon, Guanajuato and we have been traveling to Guanajuato since I was a little girl and I love it so much. I'm so excited for you to learn all the legends, and stories the city has, like the story of El Pipila, the mummies, the mines, the churches. So much. Also, I don't know if you know of El Cerro del Cubilete, but at the top is a church named for Cristo Rey. It is incredible. The road is scary but you can take a bus. And there is delicious food up the mountain. Anyway, enjoy your time in my mother's land. ❤❤❤

Walk to the presa de la olla from downtown: you wll see taller trees, big, antique, french (i think) style houses, slightly more open and a surprisingly laid back, quiet area (best place to live near downtown perhaps). Skip the mommies...they are a long walk, once you seen two, you seen enough. We got a gross feeling after our time there. After 20 visits to Guanajuato, we only went there once. It is a bit of a walk to the presa, but evey turn has something else to see.

Great video of Guanajuato!! Let me tell you that when I got married many, many years ago, we went there for our honeymoon. It was a very nice experience. It was so cute that you went to the "El Callejón del Beso" and showed many nice places of Guanajuato. 😘👍😊 About the temperature in my city right now; I live in Southern California, and we are having a terrible heat wave. The last three day we had been around 115 degrees of temperature. 😱😓

I was born and I grew up in Guanajuato, and I still live here, and I remember when I was a child I used to think: "Why do I live in such a weird place? I wanted to live in a nomarl city with normal streets. It's amazing how you make us look at our own country son differntly.
