Great Video Chris well done ! I have two of these radios. When I press the eccm button all I get is CODE on the display. Does it mean I do or dont have the hop option ?

You have to enter the same code on both radios..

What is the radio like to search the Ham bands?

yes, you can tune the ham bands easy enough. Just place the cursor under the digit you want to change and the up/down button changes it. Very easy. Same for mode LSB/USB/CW. When you move more than a few kHz it keeps pestering you to retune the antenna. There is automatic tuner for these - manual indicates it does tune automatically. I only have the manual tuner. 73 de zl1cvd

It does not have a VFO knob like usual HAM radio. You move the cursor to the digit you want to change and use up / down arrow to change frequency. It does have 99 channel memories so you could load up the HF Pack frequencies and easily recall them. The tuner is manual via a knob under the tuner - the radio lets you know to retune when you move too far from a tuned frequency. There is an auto tuner available but I do not have this.

Operating voltage range is 10 VDC to 29 VDC. Output is 10 watts at 13.8 VDC and 25 watts at 25.6 VDC
