always a sweet spot in my hart for wagons, having owned a 57 chevy 210 wagon that we made into a bel-air wagon I can respect the work and time it take to redo one. LOVE the color and what a place to find colors. Just goes to show women do play a large roll in restorations! LOL

Absolutely gorgeous Buick. The 57 has to be one of the great Buick designs of all time. Great restoration and I think the colors are great. Seeing a 57 Buick always makes me remember the Jackie Gleason show, as they were a big sponsor.

Where can I find the plastic chrome interior bows? Do you know if he is still making them?

My mom and dad had one almost identical, antique ivory over metallic brown. It was the car I learned to drive in. It could pass anything except a gas station at 11 MPG. Thankfully premium gas was only 29cents a gallon then!

…. The 1957 364, came from the factory with 2 different compression ratios and cam profiles. All Buick Special Series ( Just like this Special Caballero shown here ) arrived stock with 8:1 compression not 10:1 as stated, along with and a low profiled mild cam only delivering some 260 horse giver take. On the other hand, all the Century, Super and Roadmaster series cars all came with the 364 delivering 300 plus h.p. with 10:1 compression, domed aluminum pistons, and a higher profile cam plus 2-inch I.D. exhaust systems. So in stock version a banker's hotrod indeed. Since his Caballero is a "Special" & not a Century Caballero, his 364 would need the components from the larger series 364's .

There are more colors from other series Buick’s from 57 that are way better. Great roadmaster colors. Too bad they missed using one.

So glad they love it. It is a beautiful, over-restored wagon. Hate the color.
