I know this is an older video but man... this is the easiest to apply car wax I have ever used. I've been applying car wax since the early 1980s. I'm not a detailing fanatic but I like to maintain my cars. I will never ever use a paste or liquid wax again. I just did my 2005 F350 4wd Dually that I just recently painted Black. I just put the 1st coat on and It's just super easy to use. It's incredibly economical to use. That huge truck took about 2 ounces to do the whole entire truck. and I really didn't skimp on it but it spreads really well. If I bought a gallon of this stuff, it would last me a lifetime. Professional car detailers need to use this stuff...it would be a money maker.

I have a 2003 Mazda Miata LS. I have had to have it covered over a year because of a broken neck. (any how) I used your three and one ceramic on it one day before the break , so it has covered in a garage since. Should I or do I need to buff or polish I again? Bruce Haskin

You mentioned best practice is to do paint correction (if needed), then do panel wipe, then apply the 3-in-1 ceramic wax. A couple of questions: - What is panel wipe? Which product do you use to do panel wipe? Is it speed-shine? - Do you recommend applying this 3-in-1 on a surface that was just paint corrected with BOSS correcting cream? The concern is the residue left behind from the BOSS correcting cream ... even though the residue was wiped off with a microfiber towel.

“Panel wipe” products are final wipe down products that typically contain some level of isopropyl alcohol and solvent mixture to quickly and effectively remove any oils or residues left on the surface. We currently do not have a specific product for this but we do have a formula in development to fill this void. In the mean time you can wash with our Foaming Surface Prep through THE BOSS Foam Cannon, Foaming Sprayer, or diluted at 10:1 in a standard spray bottle, dry the vehicle, then proceed to your application of Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax. You could also use a 70% isopropyl alcohol mixture in a spray bottle if you do not want to wash again. For your Correcting Cream question - This is the exact purpose of a “panel wipe” to remove polishing oils and other residues that may be present on the surface prior to the application of any protectant, specifically products containing Si02 or other ceramic technology. You will benefit from performing a panel wipe step prior to any protection application. You don’t HAVE to perform a panel wipe post correction prior to application of a protectant, however it will ensure absolute best results and achieve the maximum durability out of the protectant being applied.

Surprised at how few people appear interested in this stuff. Hey, @Griots Garage, can we get some really detailed info about how this plays with other griots products? Id be curious to things like how this would play with for example the BOSS finishing sealant, do I need to stop using that and only use perfecting cream if I am going to top it with this? How about BOSS detailer, if I have a car that I already used that on can I now hit it with this or do I need to remove that somehow? How about the purple rinseless wash and wax, do I need to switch to something else? I am assuming answers to most of this stuff, but a definite from Griot's would be nice

All great questions. First thing to point out is that Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax can be used over the top of other products that add protection such as BOSS Finishing Sealant, Liquid Gloss Poly Wax, Best of Show Wax, Liquid Wax 3-in-1 or One-Step Sealant. The only downside to using Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax in a scenario like this is that it may not be quite as durable as it would when properly applied to a bare paint surface. Now for products that apply less durable protection such as Best of Show Detailer, Rinseless Wash & Wax, or our spray waxes, we would recommend ideally stripping these off prior to applying Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax. The main reason being that as the less durable product wears off, Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is likely to wear off with it, drastically reducing durability compared to when it is applied to bare paint. For maximum durability and optimal results, Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is best when applied directly to a clean, bare paint surface, or when used over an existing ceramic coating (referring to "traditional" ceramic coatings that are hand applied, often professionally). The ideal prep process would be wash/clean the paint surface of loose grit/contaminants, decontaminate the surface to remove embedded contaminants using Paint Cleaning Clay or Synthetic Clay, wipe down with a panel wipe style product, then apply Ceramic 3-in-1. If paint correcting is needed, the prep process is a great time to do it and will allow you to achieve the best possible appearance out of your paint with Ceramic 3-in-1 applied.

I’ve been so excited for this. I LOVE griots products. I’m getting a G15 polisher from my wife and with Christmas gifts and all that she WILL NOT let me buy this and I want it so bad! So I’ll have to bite the bullet and wait until after Christmas and it SUCKS! I so hoped to win one of the kits but I swear I’m lucky in life, I have a great family but it’s impossible for me to win contest or giveaways or anything! Haha it’s definitely not for lack of trying, just not in the cards I guess

I know this is late in the party but watching about layering would the ceramic 3 in 1 then say best of show as a second layer then put a 3rd ceramic 3 in 1 coat would you gain an advantage of the wax being seen under and the 3 in 1 for it's best properties?

Hello, there would be no real benefit to putting a layer of Best of Show Wax in between two layers of Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax. For best results with the Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax, we suggest applying two applications 12-24 hours apart.

Just applied one coat in a 60 deg garage in February Northeast Ohio, 2018 forester washed synthetic clay mitt(awesome) spray wash then applied 3 and 1 ceramic. It’s curing now. Question: went on and off super easy but I think I used to much product and only 1 PFM TOWEL(saturated at half way through and I also did the glass, so I think I made 3 mistakes a lot of time and work to do it wrong. But still love it’s ease of applying and removal and smell will apply 2nd coat. Can’t wait to see how it holds up

Did get a chance to see it live.. But can this be used as a rinseless wash, and is it safe for interiors? Personal i like to experiment with my products and see if they have. You know off lable uses. Like add 2 or 3oz to a gallon of water and do a wash.

It's not safe for using as a rinseless wash, as it does not have any cleaning agents inside. The one thing that it IS great for is as a drying-aid, so it can be used that way. Also, It is not recommended for interior applications (unless, of course, you have painted interior pieces like in many classic cars) Adding it to a wash isn't recommended either, but love the experimental enthusiasm! If you do try it, I'd love to know what results you get!

Hello, you'll want to apply another coat to get rid of the streaking. Streaking with the Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax can happen for a couple reasons. Most common is over application, you want to mist it on a panel such as the hood. Use a nice thick microfiber towel such as our PFM detailing towels or Microfiber Edgeless towels. Wipe the hood or panel, then use a separate, dry towel for buffing to ensure no streaks. One other thing is you want at least 4 towels per vehicle, switching them out before the towel becomes to saturated and always using a second towel for buffing. Ceramic is a very rich formula once that towel starts to feel saturated you want to switch it out with a fresh one.

Best of Show Detailer is compatible with Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax. View Ceramic as your base layer of protection and you can choose to use Best of Show Detailer for between wash maintenance. Just keep in mind that Ceramic 3-in-1 is our most hydrophobic protection and applying another product on top of it may reduce the hydrophobicity that Ceramic 3-in-1 produces (assuming the product going on top is less hydrophobic).
