I just did my wife' black 2014 Hyundai Tuscon with GG fast correcting cream, planning to do a second step with something less aggressive, but to my eyes it looks so good I'm hesitant, and tempted to leave it the way it is. It still looks better than when she drove it off the lot. I used a Flex 4301 and an orange flat LC pad. Skill level: Extremely amateur, but I know how to follow instructions. All I know about paint correction I've learned from watching this KZbin channel and others like it and I only have two cars to practice on. Maybe I just got lucky. Or I haven't yet developed the eye to distinguish descent from awesome.

In August 2018 you recommend Griot's Complete Compound for one step correction. Which have you decided is the best one step, Correcting Cream or Complete Compound?
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83435 жыл бұрын
Such a difficult question to answer. Both are good but it also depends on the paint system you're working on. In my opinion the boss correcting cream by griots is more balanced. Hopefully that helps. Skill set, pad and paint system needs to be considered.

@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 Thanks for your response; I'll be working on a 2000 BMW and a 2019 MiniCooper with Lake Country CCS green pad. @dallaspaintcorrectionautod83435 жыл бұрын
@@marvinisrael1671 I always recommend on OEM paint, be careful with those lights. Sometimes it will make you chase defects that are too deep and compromise the clear coat. If your car looks great in direct sunlight and with the naked eye, stop there and enjoy😀

@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 Your common sense advice is more than welcome. Yes, the BMW looks great in direct sunlight. @olliepogi9547 жыл бұрын
The is the general order or operation for detailing the vehicles exterior. 1)Wash 2)Clay 3)Compound 4)Polish 5)Seal 6)Wax
@theeabster19836 жыл бұрын
ollie pog i hear people talking about doing a one step or two step paint correction and some of these KZbinrs that work professionally doing this gave me a roundabout number for charging $150 to $300 for a one step $450 up to $1,200 for a two step paint correction. You mentioned compound, polish ,seal and then wax. Never heard anybody doing a four-step LOL and I understand that's the way you're supposed to do it. at least that's the way everybody sells their products. what would you charge someone to do a 4 step paint correction?
@rayjay83226 жыл бұрын
the eabster.....The WAX step is just for an additional pop, gloss and warmth. It's only really what you would do just prior to going to a show. It's only temporary that 99.9% of people/customers wouldn't do. The paint is already sealed and protected.

@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83437 жыл бұрын
great question..is your car black??..perhaps you have what we call SOFT paint..when you're seeing hallo or holograms, you may need to step down your pad, perhaps something less aggressive than a microfiber cutting disk...what you're seeing is buffer trials or holograms on the paint and we would need to step down to a less aggressive pad or perhaps find a less aggressive compound or find a compound that FINISHES down better than Griots Correcting cream...as for now since you have already cut the paint i would recommend going over the vehicle again with say a BLACK finish pad and use a LIGHT polish like Meguiars M205 or Sonax Perfect Finish and again with a BLACK finish pad and those buffer trails you're seeing should go away quickly:)

@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83437 жыл бұрын
griots Boss finishing sealant will remove more defects from the paint and gives you longer working time because its lubricating oils are better within the AIO sealant...griots Boss finishing sealant would be more of a pro product where griots one step sealant is more of a retail grade product..but with that said i do like griots one step sealant if i just want a quick polish and lay protection down:)
