This is such a fantastic review of the game, thank you so much for taking the time to put it together! It is great to hear that you enjoyed playing GRIT , that means so much to me!

You're very welcome! My groups all had a ton of fun playing the game - and really enjoyed the speedy combat: it was so refreshing to be able to have the dramatic back and forward without having to stop every couple of minutes to refer to different sections of rulebooks, or worse having to get out a calculator, as was the case in one game in a different system I played recently. Wishing you all the best with the game - hopefully it will be the success I think it deserves to be!

Great video. GRIT Fantasy RPG is definitely a system that deserves more exposure.

Thank you so much! It was a stroke of luck to come across GRIT when I did, and speaking with Jeremy the designer since then, it's clear that he's a massively underappreciated creator in so many ways. I hope you enjoy some of the other videos too!

I have my copy but it is still in the "table queue" 😅 Very nice video man, gave me a good overview of the mechanics and vibes. I will surely return to rewatch it before i run my first Grit game 😁

so..... which character did that 40' demon take to hell?..... and 5:34 "you'll have a GRIT time" (I see what you did there)

Haha that was a genuine slip of the tongue - I prefer my puns rather better crafted than that! It was our Hoblin friend… even though it was the Froom who made the offering: I guess they’re going to have to mount a rescue mission!

I've played Grit a few times. I echo your comments in the video. For an experienced GM it's so easy to get to the table and play a one shot. It's one of the few systems that if someone said let's play an rpg tonight I could pull off the shelf and say give me 30 minutes to prep then we can build characters and get started. It's just loose enough that everyone always ends up having fun.

Great review! Also, from whence does one get that shirt?

Thank you! I make a point of only reviewing games I genuinely enjoy, and GRIT has instantly become one of my favourite systems, especially in a “hey shall we play something tonight?” scenario. Top use of the word “whence” btw. I got the t-shirt from Redbubble (searching rainbow dice if this link doesn’t work) www.redbubble.com/i/t-shirt/Rainbow-Dice-Set-Tabletop-RPG-Gaming-by-pixeptional/31815158.1YYVU

Marvelous presentation and super slick video highlighting a game I can't wait for more people to play. Thanks for covering this. Great work!

Thank you! I realise I made a big deal about the mechanics, design and art being a one-person endeavour, but as with any well planned game, there were a load of people involved in the playtesting and getting it over the line. I've got the sleevenotes open now, and you're down for some Special Thanks... well deserved I'm sure!!

@@RenegadeRolls Yes, Ryan was an immense help with this project. He put in a ridiculous amount of work with the editing, rules noodling, and playtesting. There were a lot of people involved in the playtesting that made the game what it is today.

Dragonbane!! The action and reaction thing.. it's just like in free leagues Dragonbane.. which is a rpg game you need to check out... I'm serious you need to get the box..(just as in them olden days, packed with goodies)
