You're right about other people, I swear as a single guy with a camera you get more people giving you strange looks.. Unless you're taking a photo of something obvious like a sunset, people just don't get it!

I've been spit at for taking a streetscape someone didn't apparently want to be photographed in on the streets of SoHo. It's not fun

Looks like a great day of photography we sometimes don’t look close enough in our own areas loving the shape and abstract feel some great images

Roger, You should likely make the images on your website go to your etsy store when clicked. I'm pretty sure whatever plugin you're using will allow it. Just an idea. Great video!

Very very nice photography. I love ' urban landscape ' photography. Don't care much about photographers who walk the streets and poke their cameras into people's faces. I have to get a couple of rolls of Tri X and do some shooting in and around Manchester again.

Manchester is great for photography, and there's always the temptation to visit The Real Camera Company. I'm well past being young, and I still feel like a kid in a sweetshop in that store.

Always bring a bag of extra grit you can sprinkle around if the scene needs it 🙂

Loving those prints. You seem to be able to make anything look amazing. Did you use in built camera meter. I have an OM10. It would be nice to give this a go without having to carry a seperate meter. Top draw. Cheers

You'll see in the video it was quite sunny. I incident metered the scenes when the sun went behind the clouds. So once I got my metering in that area, such as the fire escape, I could shoot without metering again. Light didn't change.

Sekonic hand held meter.
@julianwilliams47503 жыл бұрын
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss I guess spot metering for shadow areas you want to have detail in and over exposing 2 stops would also work.
@ShootFilmLikeaBoss3 жыл бұрын
@@julianwilliams4750 it would. Or spotting on an area you think or want to be as middle grey such as a pavement.

I generally like to get people in my street photos, but not from up close; I like to have a few people distant from the camera, not identifiable. There are exceptions, of course. I have also gotten hassled by cops or security guards from time to time, depending on where I'm at. Not a pleasant experience.
@danem22153 жыл бұрын
I got spit at but never harrassed by cops. Fingers crossed that won't happen to me in the future

I don't know about anyone else, but I sure wish that they would make a digital enlarger for digital camera files so that one print onto silver gelatine again. An AFFORDABLE one!

Going local is great - you really need to look and work harder for a shot - unless of course the light is cool.............but how often does that happen ? 😂😂😂
@ShootFilmLikeaBoss3 жыл бұрын
You do have to look harder as it's all so familiar and boring. Not like a trip to India or some other amazing cultural place. I'd definitely have people in my photos there.

Although I enjoyed your photos, especially the fragments/closeups ... but what's up with those masks in that car!!!

That car was outside the theatre. Did make me laugh. Whoever owns the car likes to have a joke.
