There's a split moment at around the 2:00 mark where they are juuuuust about to start pulling the tempo, and correct themselves, as a band, in that single beat, and it's just fucking insaaaane! As a drummer, we can sometimes find our bodies naturally stop ourselves from rushing the beat, and it's just so damn pro to see the whole band do it! This is a really tricky tempo to sustain for a whole song too!

Howard Stern once pointed this out and he was 100% right. Whoever films these bands on late night or award shows needs to be a musician. They never capture specific moments when a musician performs. Example, during a guitar solo, rather than show the guitarist and his fingers, they go to the singer dancing. In this clip, the drummer is playing such a strange and unique beat…yet let’s focus on the fingers playing two notes on the keyboard. Haha
