Been running my 2006 G3 1860 cc with 50hp yamaha since new and have got it up to 28 mph on smooth river water. I've owned plenty of boats including one that cost as much as my house and the 1860 cc is the one I kept and its been problem free from the start and I've put several hundred hours on it. Great boats.

My in law has the old style 1860 Grizzly (before 2015 or so) with the same engine and it does do pretty well for a 60. I own the new style with the 90 and I am getting between 40 and 43 or so depending on load. Good boats! I love the low maintenance.

That was a very helpful video, thank you! I am considering purchasing a 2020 Lowe L1852MT Aura 18 foot Jon Boat, and a Suzuki 60hp for camping, fishing, running around on the calm parts of the Colorado River (there is a 100 mile stretch that is calm, no rapids, and has lots of sandbars to camp on). What size prop and pitch are you using? If you look in the hub it will tell you. I’ve got a Lowe Roughneck 1860 with a 60hp Mercury Command Thrust, the prop I have on has a 13” diameter and a 17 pitch and I’m only getting 25-26mph with a 4 blade spitfire prop. With the 3 blade I was getting 28 mph but it took forever to get on plane.
