Always wonderful to see South Africa. Hitched around the country for 3 months as a poor Scottish student in my kilt in 1992 and fell in love with the place. Amazing people in a very special part of the world.

Wow. What an incredible video. I am a South African living in Cape Town and have been following your channel for several months. I live the bush and have been to many reserves in Southern Africa. I have watched numerous documentaries on wild life over 50 years and don't recall ever seeing such incredible photography/videography on wild life. Kudos.

Absolute stunning video. I am a South African and loves the bush and animals, but this is the best compilation of a video about the wildlife I have seen. Thanks for sharing and bringing this reserve to our attention. Next time I am in the Eastern Cape, I will for sure visit Schotia Safaris. Enjoy the rest of your tour and may God bless and protect you.

Wow, Stephanie and Leigh what an amazing video. Done an open canopy Safari in 2008 and when you see the lions approach the vehicle It’s so surreal with the thoughts of will they won’t they take a nibble out of me? They were not even 20 meters from the vehicle in twigh light and still they were hard to see. I guess I didn’t look delicious to them like yourselves and still here, so enjoy the rest of your African safari .

@@GrizzlyNbearOverland I can totally concur. My first encounter with a large bull elephant 3 meters from our Land Rover made me very emotional. 3 days later we had a cheetah jump on the bonnet of our Defender. I had tears in my eyes as I always had a very special affinity with cheetahs. I sponsored through our company a cheetah breading program in South Africa. We currently sponsor Snow Leopard conservation program.

The most important takeaway from this is the African mantra regarding wild game: "if it pays, it stays." It is only the money spent by tourists in the pretty areas and hunters in the harder regions, that allows wild game to flourish once again. Otherwise, it would all still be dairy cattle as far as you can see.
