Then she agreed to marry him, after the whole "game", which hurt Will, and then she left ... never mind Adam's feelings either. This is one of the episodes that's a very bad episode. In reality, Adam would be too smart to date Laura. I think that he should drop Laura and he should tell Lil to stop snooping into other people's business!! I can't stand that snot and unladylike Lil. She is extremely rude and obnoxious!! The writers of "Bonanza" made a huge mistake when they wrote a 3 part story between Adam and Laura. Shame on them!! No wonder Pernell Roberts quit the show a year later. I don't blame him.

This is obviously part 2 of the 3 part story. Laura only said "yes" to Adam's marriage proposal because she wanted Will to intervene. I bet that she changes her mind to Adam's marriage proposal in part 3 and then she tells Adam that she wants to marry Will. I haven't watched part 3 so I'm just guessing.

I love it when a gentleman opens the door for me, I love it when he lets me go into a room first, and I love it when he makes the decisions in a lot of cases. I love it when a gentleman is courteous and kind to me AND I always let him know how much I appreciate it. I love to do things for him and I love it when he does things for me. These usually confuse me, aunt lily as Cupid's henchwoman, and Adam, and William in a confusing love triangle, and a beautiful blonde babe in the ivory tower, which gent, and worse cousins in the same home. And William the better looking and better smile and his face and eyes bring an energy that any damsel would certainly be curious about. However, Adam is also very intelligent and debonair, who will break a heart and who will say I do, and will the other leave, or stay. What an interesting storyline, and a great episode. Thank you for so much fun watching these high energy Bonanza's.

I'm not real keen on this episode, as this was the beginning of Will Cartwright's swan song. This was suppose to be Pernell Roberts last season as Adam as he was very unhappy with the role and the year before he got into an argument with one of the producers as he had done in the passed and threaten to quit as he again had done many times, so the producer just said fine, you got it. Your gone. So they got Guy Williams as cousin Will to take his place. Unfortunately Pernell unexpectedly signed on for another year, so they ousted poor Guy. This would have been a better opportunity for Guy than Lost In Space had been when he was suppose to be the star, and Jonathan Harris sort of took that away from him. And Space only lasted three seasons.

Jonathan Harris's character as Charles Dickens was so similar to that of Dr. Smith later on. I thought of Dickens as a humbled man considering the harsh life he led, but Harris portrayed him as a snob in the beginning of that episode.

I prefer guys brief tenure because had bonanza brought him on their could have been another dimension to the show if the writing was better.
