As Lithuanian i can confirm that prices in Lithuania very high now. Salary does not go up as quickly as prices of groceries. Sometimes i come shoping and it feels like in museum, just watch but no touch 😂

Currently the prices are on the rise actually. Everything started with Ukraine, the prices went up by around ~20-30 on average. Some supermarkets currently offering discounts and they gradually lowering the prices a bit, but I bet they wont reach prewar prices... Lots of people are actually buying a lot of things in Poland, things considerably cheaper there, so you can stockpile some non degradable foods. But people even buy construction materials there or furniture etc... Poland has very little taxes on food, so it makes everything at least ~20% cheaper. People living closer to the boarder buy stuff there, not only Lithuanians but Germans as well. By the way, make sure you have the supermarket card, as the red prices in this case are only with the card. Some supermarkets, particularly "Rimi", but others as well, promote their exclusive disscount cards, those provide a considerable disscounts. in this case the lowest prices is only available for the card holders. The cards are free to own, its just their way to keep the clients buying at their store, as the rivalry between different supermarkets is quite fierce, you can see a lot of the popular spots taken by 2 or even 3 different supermarkets.

@@MakeFilmsStudio Actually it really depends. If you are trying to spend less, you should always look for discounts. One week Rimi might be the cheapest and Maxima the most expensive, the other week it could be the other way around.
