Rewatching because it’s fun to see how far you’ve both come. And so many of your knits still inspire me. By your 10th episode you had 2400 viewers. And you probably had no idea what a force you would become. ❤

I sooo look forward to your podcasts each week! I don't have local knitting buddies so every week I kick back with my knitting and enjoy a little virtual knit group with you two. Thank you ladies for another fun, authentic, and truly enjoyable 'cast.

Crochet is pretty easy to learn, esp with KZbin tutorials from Jaydainstitches, Bag-O-Day and Fiber flux they are so patient and show up close and describe every step. I had never touched a hook and in Dec I watched a few videos and by xmas I made 17 scarves and team colored placemats and footballs for presents. I'm now on to beanies and granny squares for charitable donations. Also star blankets and amigurumi. Give it a try. I want to try knitting but it seems much harder but I'll get there with the help of great tutorials.

I taught myself to crochet and knit from books from the library way before the internet was a thing. I feel it would be so much easier for me now because of KZbin. I have learned lots of different stitches from KZbin.

A little late to the party but I'm so happy that I found the two of you. You brighten my day. Had to go right back to the beginning and start at the first episode. Might take a while to get to your current episodes but I don't want to miss a thing. Keep up the wonderful work!

Thanks for sharing ... you girls are awesome!I love knitting on the beach ... I was in Jamaica over New Year's and knit everyday. My guy likes to sleep in where as I get up at 6am. I had 3 hours of sitting on a lounger with my tea and knitting listening to the waves before he got up ... it was amazing! I also have to say I just bought a skein of Toronto Maple Leafs a few days ago. The shipping was a lot but I had to get it. I can't wait for the package to arrive.

I've had to pause watching just to say - if you get to the point that you are really...really tired of Addi sock rockets cord getting you into a fankle ... try CiaoGoo needles - I was a HUGE fan of Addi's... loved them... until my cord started to become a total pain - worse than wrangling a water hose... I've recently purchased and used the firmer CiaGoo fixed circulars (lace, red cord) ...which some find too firm but I'm loving them... the needles have a smidge more drag than the Addi's... not so much...but enough that they work with really slippery yarn too... and less drag than Karbonz...I know, everyone is different with needles so it's just a suggestion, just incase! Omg you lady’s are just so amazing!! I’ve been binge watching for 3 days now. Your encouragement and tips and tricks are going in my #knittoolbox. So with tour encouragement I have re cast the Lollipop Sock by twin Stitches Design. This is my first non vanilla sock which is nice because most of the singular socks (second sock syndrome) The Rose City Rollers have been my go to with switching up the cuff with knit and purl and twisted knit and pearl.

Tracie, my saving grace for lace is to place markers between sections. So with the one you are knitting I would place a marker every three chevron. That way I can tell if I made mistake. It also gives me a pattern to memorize.
@traciemillar8 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent tip!! I'll keep it in mind for my next lace project 👌👌

+Ann Newell Hi there Ann!!!!! A new sock knitter....YAY!!! A couple of wonderful sock "recipes" on Ravelry are "How I Make My Socks" by Susan B. Anderson and "A Good Plain Sock" by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. If you need to learn all of the techniques, I would highly recommend the sock class that Ann Budd teaches on www.craftsy.com. She is an unbelievable and very down to earth instructor. You will learn SO MUCH! Best of luck, and keep us posted!

Wow! Call me hyper-sensitive (June 2020), but the story at 0:05:19 ..... your ‘white privilege’ was screaming very loudly. Otherwise, who would have wagered you would have arrived at the police station alive. Wo/Man.... what a time we are living in. What a life we have been asleep during while all this was going on in a segment of our populous on a daily basis. Sorry....didn’t mean to slope that way tonight, but, that’s my own white privileged talking just the same. Hurts to know just how often that shite happened/s.
