Buy the woolies generic coconut cream and do not bother with getting light. Get the full fat one and break it down half and half with water. It's all they do then charge you full whack for it. If you only use half the can for your recipe freeze the rest in 1/4 cup ice cube trays and you've got it for another meal later. Thus saving even more money. Same with milk. Water it down rather than buy low fat milk - again it's what they do and you get more milk. Because you have two litres which you can water down by 20% thus having 20% more milk.

Thanks for the money saving tips. I occasionally freeze items like tomato paste etc. I have tried to water milk down but maybe I just put too much water.

I agree with you, it's hard to see 400 dolllars worth there! But meat, cheese and the butter seem to be the most expensive. Paper towels aren't that cheap anymore either. I also love the cherry blossom body wash and the pears soap as well. 😊

I totally agree!

Hi Dominique. I bought Clinkers last week. Last couple of packets have had tiny ones along with usual size ones. Maybe reducing packet weight to rip us off more?! Hope you found your Clinkers! 🍬🍫

I didn't find them, they must have been lost in transit.

I agree, the avocado 🥑 had been not great lately.. I bought the same bag you did thinking I'd save money 💰 but I think I'll go back to buying individual as I've discarded so much of them 😔
@homemakingwithhamptonnote27 күн бұрын
Yes, I have tried the individual ones too, but the same. I bought a few from Coles to try and see how they go. Such a waste of money having to throw them because they are rotten.

I'd be stocking up on that ww butter if you have it in your budget. It's already gone up to $8 in ww in South Australia, well at least at my 3 local, and Aldi is now $7.99..I'm kicking myself I didn't stock up when they went from $6.40 to $7 when the cheese price went down to $9 for the hillview and $9.50 ww tasty. Now butter is $8 and the cheeses are $10.50 and $13.50 a block respectively again. To say I'm frustrated feeding 4 kids aged 16-10yrs is an understatement. Also, I agree with the below comment about the coconut milk. Look out for the bells farm veggies, they are way cheaper than prep set go too! In regards to the castello cheese, just buy a block and make a simple brine in an old container, cut the block up and put it in and it's soo much cheaper. Great haul though. 😊😊

Thanks for the tips. Prices on everyday items like cheese and butter is frightening and baking costs so much money and that use to be a way to save money, is to bake but that is no longer true.

I live in the states. Groceries are so expensive here too! We have our Thanksgiving coming up soon. Buying groceries for what we need plus for the holidays is extremely expensive. I completely understand how you feel seeing very few things for such a high cost. Anyways, I still love the grocery haul videos. ❤❤

Thank you! Buying everyday food is hard enough without the big events like Christmas and Thanksgiving etc it's an expensive time of the year.

Covid was a wonderful blessing for supermarkets. The supply chain issues we had then did cause prices to go up. That was then, this is now and prices have only got dearer. I think a proper investigation into price gouging is way overdue. We are being taken for a ride. As for the avocados I would hold off buying them for a while if the quality is not good, they are very expensive.

I agree and I won't be buying anymore of those Avocados for a while.
@emza2023Ай бұрын
Oh my, so so expensive, just the basics bread, milk, cheese, eggs , adds up there alone with out meat , fruit & veg, just insane.

It’s crazy how quick it adds up.

Hi Dominique. Great haul thanks for sharing. I hope you and your family are well ❤. I love that body wash it's my favourite and we also use that soap bar. I don't enjoy grocery shopping anymore. You don't get as much as you use to since things have gone up. I get anxious at the checkout but I've been budgeting a bit more. But sometimes I go over budget.

I don't enjoy grocery shopping much either, especially coming up to Christmas. After my big shop on the weekend I'm still looking for snacks because I feel like I didn't get everything I needed. Hope your family is well also.

I'm not buying any avocados for a while Dominique as I've had so many that are bad lately and they weren't cheap at $2.50 each... hopefully they'll come good again!

It's very smart to buy items towards Christmas, just a little here and there.

Yeah, the Christmas price increase has already started. 😬
