Hello from the UK! Nice video. What a sweet natured person you are❤️ I only wish I could shop like that but we cannot buy in bulk like that where I live and I don't have the space to store it as our houses are so small in comparison. I do my main grocery shop once a week and then again for fresh produce once maybe twice more. I live at the Grocery store 🙄😂 x

Same here in Germany. I don't even think the wholesalers like Metro let you get a card unless you have a business licence here. Like, if you have a kiosk or something they let you be a member. But maybe that's changed now. My dad used to have one from his office job, so I've actually been to these. And when I studied abroad in China I got one for Metro and Sam's Club, because my fellow students told us that they let the foreigners just become members even if they don't own a business, you just have to pay the membership fees. I'd get my favourite gouda there from time to time 😅 But yeah, in my German flat I just wouldn't have the space. I actually got a new fridge/freezer last year and I got the one with the biggest freezer space at the bottom, 3 drawers, because I freeze so much veggies, I constantly ran out of space in my old one that had the freezer compartment on top (the one's that are the size of a microwave). But we used to have a chest freezer in the basement at my childhood house and a second crisper fridge. That fridge is just for beverages, my dad's stinky cheeses and the occasional massive bowl of pasta salad. In Korea people often have a second fridge, especially families, where they keep kimchi and overflow. I get the appeal. When I got my new fridge I didn't immediately got rid of the old one 😅 it's dangerous when you get used to too much space.

What is freezer burn?
@silviamagda Жыл бұрын
@@Itssshudaa Freezer burn is a term for the moisture lost from frozen food. It's what happens when meat left in your freezer for a long time loses moisture and begins to look discolored or shriveled. The surface may be covered in ice crystals.

Hi Maria, I’m so glad you enjoyed my grocery haul videos!🥰 I got it from Walmart! I’m really not a big fan of peanut butter as well and I specially hate it when it goes hard and cannot be spread right. This almond butter don’t do that at all. I’ve tried the Justin brand before, the only thing I don’t like about it is that it gets hard in the fridge and it is recommended to keep it in there once opened. I used to work at Whole Foods and that’s the brand we use for PB&J sandwich. 😊

Love Your Grocery Haul's but I think if you put your chicken in Ziploc bags you'll have more room in the freezer than keeping them in the Yellow Trays.
@Selledeshiro Жыл бұрын
Yes! That’s true but once I move them to ziploc bags, it gets freezer burn a lot faster than leaving them in the original packaging! 🤷🏻♀️
@kimberlymorgan7410 Жыл бұрын
Try wrapping the meat in wax paper and use the Ziploc Freezer Bags to put the meats in after you wrap it.
@Selledeshiro Жыл бұрын
@@kimberlymorgan7410the chickens are usually very wet after taking it out of the packaging, the wax paper wouldn’t stick to it once it’s wet and frozen? I thought about this before but I’m afraid it would stick then it will be mess once I defrost them!😂

I'm always so surprised by how long you keep the fridge open. I was taught to always close it, even when putting away new groceries, because fridges keep the temperature better if the door gets opened a lot rather than stay open the entire time. Also I'm surprised you can, because besides the beeping (which I know one can turn off for cleaning), mine even switches the light on and off. It's like a very quick fade from normal light to completely turned off light and even with my strong ceiling lights it can become really hard to see what you're doing. It's way more annoying than the beeping, let me tell you. But it's also a great deterrent for me.
@Selledeshiro Жыл бұрын
I was taught the same way and I don’t really leave it open for as long as you think. When I’m working on the island like refilling eggs and pre-packaging yogurts, the fridge is close and it doesn’t get open again until I need to put them back. I will try to show that in the video next time!😉 And yes! Our fridge is the same it beeps when it’s open for a bit too long to notify you incase you didn’t know.. and the lights also turns off a little after the beeping.. I have to close and open it again to get the light to turn back on for the camera cause like you said, it gets dark in there and the kitchen lights don’t really help much! I haven’t yet figured out if there’s a way to not have the lights off when it’s open!😬

The idea of using a Ziploc bag is to make sure you squeeze all the air out of it. Not doing this causes freezer burn. To much ice crystals forming. And your preparation is going to be ruined . And will not last as long in your freezer. And not taste as good once thawed and cooked. I have never bought that much food in my life at one time. This must be the show about shopping when you have food stamps. The steaks you bought I would have cut in half so six steaks would made twelve meals there so huge. And that's an excessive amount drinks. And eggs OMG! You do realize a dozen eggs cost 5$ a carton. I know you're video is about organizing. But, get real the average person doesn't shop this much.
@Selledeshiro Жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure I did squeezed the air out of the ziploc bag!🤔🤷🏻♀️ You have your own opinion and I RESPECT that! I don’t have to explain to you how I prepare our food nor portion it. We eat what we eat and we buy what we buy so why don’t you let me worry about that!?! This video is not to show how to shop when you have Food stamp, we don’t even have that. I never said nor claim that my video was about how much an average person shops. I’m simply showing what we buy when we go grocery shopping for our family and how I put them away and organize them. I even mentioned that in the video if you actually watch it and not just focus on the negative then you would have hear me said it, it is also written in my description box FYI! My subscribers like this video from my channel and if you don’t, you are very welcome to not watch them! 😬✌🏻 It’s not for everyone and I get that! Yes! I’m aware how much eggs cost nowadays.. I just want to remind you.. It’s our hard earned money that we’re spending why are you so bothered by that? If you don’t like me, my videos or how I do things then just move along and watch someone else! 😊
