If you’ve ever had Shepherd”s pie,the best parts are where the mashed potatoes get toasted around the edge. I don’t know how well it would go with the sauce but it may be worth a try.

Katie, if you go on the Amazon website they sell a set of 6 plastic lids that you can use to cover opened cans they really seal well, you don’t have to go and buy plastic containers and the lids take up very little space in any draw in your kitchen. I love those Good Thins by the way, I think you may really like them. I have to look for those onion tater tots OMG! I am like you, I’ll love anything onion! Katie: I don’t know how your digestive system tolerates cooked dry beans, but I have a few suggestions, if you don’t mind me telling you about them. Dry beans go a long way for storage. After you cook them, eat what you prefer to eat, then, you can easily freeze leftovers. Dried beans can be used in numerous dishes: mexican dishes, on chips (my mother used to mash them, spread on Tortilla chips, top with jalapeños and diced onions and bake...talk about delicious and crunchy. You might want to try buying a few bags of dry beans to have in the pantry for unexpected shortages of food. Also, I wonder if your digestive system is better now because you are living in an apartment and able to eat and then, move around more? I don’t know why all of these things came to my thoughts as I watched this vlog;-). Anyway, I love your vlogs, (and I am a lot older than your age), but I appreciate your content.

I saw the movie with Ben Affleck. You also don't leave cans with food in it in your refrigerator. You must take the food out and put it in a bowl because the can does something to the food. If your bacon has been open for several days you best cook it

When I buy eggs I always buy 2 Doz. 1 for boiled eggs & one for fried or scrambled. Since you like PB; try mixing turmeric with some PB for your neck. You can get a small 3-tier organizer for your veggies that can stay out.

I used to work in New Haven, I know the pizza you're talking about! Have you tried the red skin potato pie from Mellow Mushroom on their GF crust? I am not sure if every location has them. I thought they discontinued it but I recently saw it on the menu in Raleigh. It's amazinggggg! Mellow by far has my favorite GF crust in the area.

A pizza place near me has a loaded potato pizza. It has mashed potatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Now I really want to try it... Also, getting dressed makes me feel more productive too.

I read somewhere that you should leave your onions out on the counter on the other side of the kitchen, away from any other fruit & veggies because the onions cause the other stuff to ripen too fast and go bad.

With bacon, you can separate a couple strips at a time, fold them, and put in a bag or container then pop in the freezer. Take out one "bundle" at a time and thaw, then cook.

There was this pizza place in Miami called Andiamo that would put thinly sliced potatoes on pizza and it was delicious. Also, this old chef i know from montenegro that studied in kitchens in Italy told me his favorite topping for pizza is potatoes. I'm from long Island Ny BTW, So I know pizza.

Mashed potatoes on a pizza is definitely not unheard of in Canada. We add, bacon pieces, garlic, mozzarella cheese, and mashed potatoes also and just before eating put sour cream on it and have salsa for dipping...it's called a perogy pizza and is very good.

Sweet Simple Vegan made a video on storing produce/veggies so they last longer. It's called "HOW TO MAKE PRODUCE LAST LONGER & REDUCE WASTE 25+ TIPS. I had never watched them, but I was looking on how to store veggies because lettuce doesn't last at all but one time I added a paper towel and it lasted longer. I buy cabbage instead for this reason. Lookin' good, Katie! We have to be such detectives when it comes to our food. Who woulda thunk that French Fries would contain gluten?? I've done the same thing--bought heavy on the fruits and veggies and then been sidetracked only to find that it sat too long. LOVE bacon, and will cut it in half, break it into quarters and freeze it. It thaws out really quick, and I don't have to worry about it. 😊

These days, we shower after we come home from the grocery store as a matter of course - all clothing immediately goes in the washing machine and we jump in the shower to wash off any 'rona particles we may have picked up. This also allows time for all the Lysol we sprayed all over the grocery bags to dry.

Oh man! I'm glad I don't have your food issues with my food allergies. I am SOOOOO allergic to corn. When my wife was advised to try a gluten free diet for a bit we discovered how few things she could eat that I could too. Since going gluten free didn't help her we were both glad back to just avoiding the foods that bother me and my rotation diet. (For advice on rotation diets read "If This Is Tuesday, It Must Be Chicken.") I don't follow it as strictly as I should, but if I eat certain meats too often, I know it. On the other hand (and I can't normally eat frozen pizza) if we should decide to make pizza at home, I will try mashed potatoes, sounds good to me. My favorite is a white pizza with mushrooms, cauliflower and shrimp.

Hey babe! I love your videos and thanks for the makeup recommendations! I wanted to say, where I live (north central WV) people from Pittsburgh (who bleed a bit into our culture) make something called pierogi pizza and it is fabulous and looks like what you did kinda! So you use a regular pizza crust, dress it with a white sauce or just garlic oil. They then layer on a thin layer of mashed potatoes, another later of caramelized onions (cooked until they get sweet!), then a thick layer of cheese, broiled on top! I first had it after an Avett Bros concert, staying in a hotel w my friend and we had met another set of friends needing to eat after all that drink! They delivered it to the hotel, and I mean... I was drinking, but it also was a whole new pizza experience ! I kept telling my Pittsburgh native friend pierogi pizza sounded gross... but it is not!!!!!! Thanks for another great video Katie!
