GROCERY PRICES IN SWITZERLAND 🇨🇭 Full Supermarket Tour With Prices

One of the things that interest people about Switzerland are the prices, that is for sure. Switzerland is the richest country in the world and had gone through an inflation like everywhere else, yet is has not been hit so hard for various reasons. Anyway, I supermarket tour will give you some better idea I suppose. And not like anywhere else, things are the cheapest in a supermarket in Switzerland, if you buy in little shops or at markets it will mostly be more expensives, so this could make the most sense ever. Thank you for this video. I would say that prices in Switzerland are in the same range as those in Canada. Meat seems to be more expensive, wine seems to be cheap. Cheese is about the same price, surprisingly. The problem in Canada is that only 3 companies control own almost all the supermarkets, so they can charge whatever they want. Prices keep increasing consistently, and our gouvernement is not doing much to regulate the prices. But there are some independent smaller supermarkets owned by less greedy people, I try to shop more and more often there. Like big pharma, the people in the food industry are evil.

Hmmmmmmm I am not sure which kind of price level of Canada you are comparing, but Mr. Moonshine shows are mostly budget stuff, normal price are higher and if go for bio products than at least 2 or 3 times more than which Mr. Moonshine showed in the video 👍

We were shocked with food prices when visited Basel few years. We had to cross to the French side to get cheaper options.

Indeed Switzerland is very rich county food prices are somehow expensive than us in UK, because last few years sterling has lost his value rapidly and things looks expensive to us as well. Please will you mention do you have Lidl or Aldi Germen stores which are very famous in Europe UK as cheap stores.

Yes, we have Lidle and Aldi, but Migros and Coop are the two biggest chains in and from Switzerland.

Rice cultivation is a very labour intensive (RICE PADDY SOWN BY HAND)and water consuming process hence the price.Water is an expensive natural resource.Hence the price, i feel it is still cheaper---farmers are not getting worth their hard work.

Yes, but I have not lived here in a long time. Big advantage are high wages, and people have a lot of extra things here and luxury, so if you work here and do not these things you can save up a lot when working. That is the biggest advantage.
