To get stuff in packs or wholesale you can check out CKs Supercenters which is at the end of the highway ( last sgu stop on the highway). Also, that same store has more snack variety.

Hey! Lovely vlog..I felt like I was walking through IGA as well. If you're looking for more variety in snacks and local vegetables, you should visit Food Fair. You can get to it by taking the Morne Toute Bus. Another supermarket that usually has cheez its(I'm a fan as well 😄) is Food land, but you'll need to take a public bus to get it because the closest one is on Lagoon Road.
@BrittneyKilgore6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I've been to Food Fair once. And I've seen Food Land, but like you said it's a little further so haven't made it there. And glad to know I can find the cheezits there!

Anyone else from Grenada looking at this? I want to visit Grenada because of its raw beauty. Don't want to stay at a "fake" resort. When I lived in Hawaii (4 years) I befriended some locals that showed me what life there was really like. The struggles, how to fish, and an understanding of the perception of the military presence and how it affects daily life. That was an education.

Hiii nice video! Not sure if you’ve done an updated version but for those of you seeing this Real Value is generally more expensive than other supermarkets (mainly because they cater to SGU students). But you can go to other stores and get the same stuff for a lot less. Also fresh produce is alwaysss cheaper at the market. Water can be bought in bulk from stores like Andall or even directly from Glenelg (local water brand). There’s lots of places you can shop, just got to shop around. Yes it is pricey but remember most of those things are imported so taxed and what not. Ps I lived in the US for 7 years lol it’s an adjustment when you’re used to getting certain things 🤷🏾♀️
@BrittneyKilgore5 жыл бұрын
Of course. Yes, i've done several videos after this. This was one of my first. I have a grocery video from a local grocery store and a vlog going to the market. I try to get produce from locals at stands and such, and Ive just learned to buy local brands too. Definitely an adjustment and I'm a student who's not afraid to venture out. Some of my peers do the same, but I feel like the vast majority do what's close and convenient for them, even if more expensive.
@shanaistbernard1655 жыл бұрын
Brittney Kilgore Yes I saw those after. That’s great that you venture out. I just wanted to make sure others know there’s option if they didn’t see it. But yeah some people just like convenience but part of fun living the island life is exploring! 😃 Happy you’re having an amazing experience!

Could you show the types of feminine products and to-go containers/bottles to take to class (the one where you bought the big jug of water) and if there are any kinds of pain relief like Aleve? Are there towels, pillowcases, and stationary/office supplies? Thank you!

Also, laundry hampers, storage caddies for putting anything in, etc? How much do seasonings cost? Sorry for the randomness, I'm doing a lot of research and I like knowing as much as possible.
@BrittneyKilgore5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I recently made another grocery video so I probably won't be making one soon (I'm also leaving for summer) BUTTT i can still verbally help you: for feminine products, there are still all types of pads and tampons by American brands and local brands. The grocery store and home store sells bottles and containers. Many students buy those plus towels, bedding, etc here. Office supplies and notebooks can be purchased here but it's much more expensive. There are also OTC drugs available. I get ibuprofen all the time. There is also a pharmacy/convenience store a few minutes outside of campus. Feel free to message me on Facebook with any other questions

They sell a lot of coffee types at IGA. Grenada even has locally brewed coffee that everyone says is great. They'll have big mainstream brands, but if you want something specific, you might want to bring it. I can definitely check next time I go for what actual brands they have.

@@BrittneyKilgore oh. I don't want any specific brands. I might ask in a wrong way. The reason why I ask is to prepare what coffee machine that I need to bring.
