@@JamCan6322 I have been observing Rwanda, reading about it, met people who visited the place, watched documentaries and I can tell you this my dear brother, Rwanda stands out like a sore thumb.... It's leadership excels at governance, it leads by example. What they utter with their mouths is what they do. When they sign agreements they abide by them and implement them, unlike the rest of Africa that signs endless agreements but never do anything about it. When Rwanda says it has zero tolerance for corruption they mean it and they prosecute anybody that is involved, so nipping it in the bud before it flowers..... Mr kagame is very Visionary and disciplined which I like. In many African countries today, people sleep with one eye open because of high crime, armed robbers who break into people's homes etc.... One American lady who moved from another African country to Rwanda said not once did she encounter any crime,shr said she slept soundly at night with both eyes closed...... That was a real revelation and it told me how safe the country is.

@kasikwagoma6740 Absolutely, and I applaud the leadership. Most of the other African leaders are VERY CORRUPT. Including th3 Caribbean islands, they steal steal but th3 money in foreign banks, and when they die, the old colonial masters take it all.

first of all, never compare prices from a country like Rwanda to Western Countries or other developed countries and claim they are affordable. Things in those supermarkets are EXTREMELY expensive compared to what an average rwandan makes...even myself,a rwandan who lives in North America, I don't shop in those supermarkets unless I have to..I simply go to local markets where things are cheaper but i also do it as a way of supporting the lower income and struggling people...another little lesson for you, because Rwanda is landlocked and literally imports EVERYTHING, many items actually cost more than they cost in Western countries if you take into account transport cost and taxes, so really, they are not affordable!...I dare you to go buy Olive Oil or step into a liquor store...a bottle that cost $20 in USA is $100 over there , hihihihi

Why would you buy jack daniels or anything like that in Rwanda anyway, you can get decent liquors for 10$ a litre. That’s one of a few products that isn’t a good comparison cause in Canada a litre of bottom shelf liquor will be at least 30$. The things that are more expensive in Rwanda are things like cosmetics, processed junk food and technology but for basic necessities there’s no comparison with Canada. This is only very recent though, it wasn’t like this when I first went over. Now minimum rent in Canada in a cheap city is going to be 1200$, a cheap premade meal is going to be 15$ and transport across any major city is going to be atleast 50$ direct or 15-20$ taking multiple different busses and trains while in Kigali it’s 2000 by bike or 600 by bus. What I tell any Rwandan I know who wants to go to Canada is that if you’re smart with your money you might be able to save a bit for some land in Rwanda but if you’re even lower middle class at this point in Kigali your standard of living will fall due to loss of community, climate and collapsing living standards. No family is going to save you from being homeless when you can’t afford 2000$ a month in rent in Toronto and then you will have to brave the cold

As a fellow Canadian who wives to Rwanda, be careful with how you view the prices. Kigali is extremely expensive for East African standards but cheap for western standards, don’t get used to blowing your money all the time. If you go to any of the local markets, the prices will be a lot less too. Rwanda just got hit comparatively just as hard as Canada by inflation so also be aware a lot of people are struggling right now
