CARTONS are so you don't have to refrigerate everything!! You can keep things in your pantry like milk, etc. You're not doing this right guys, in Mexico you can get fresh juices! why buy processed juices? Go to a municipal market! everything is cheaper there. Also, bring seasonings? You can find it all there too. Buy fresh spices and grind your own. You need to adapt and live local, much cheaper in the long run and healthier. About the milk, there is fresh milk in the refrigerated section but once again, it's in TETRA BRIK cartons. If you can't find fresh milk in Soriana (known for not too many imported items) go to Mega or any other market and you'll find it. IN Mexico you can go direct to the source for food, talk to the butcher, buy from the lady that grows the veggies, etc.

How did you fid a place to live? How much is rent? Are you permanent resident How was that process

We used a Realtor Agency. The are a ton of areas were the prices flucuates, however I recommend staying close to the tourist areas like 5th Avenue. A place like the one we have can range from 1900-2300 US but there are also places that can range from 600-1200 US just depending on size and area. So as far as establishing residency, we are in the process now, but we haven’t experienced any hiccups thus far.. I will keep you updated..

My friends ordered my old fashion grits, and Louisiana hot sauce from Mercado Libre. Since they said they would not find my place. Use powdered milk, I have been visiting Mexico and living part time in Acapulco for over 60 years. Earthquakes were the deal breakers for Acapulco as a retirement city. I speak Spanish as a second language. The locals care my friends. So they see that I am protected and my wants are satisfied. Use Vicks vaporub for mosquitoes.

I would consider it safe. There are army, national guard, and police that constantly patrol the streets. I am from Atl where things happen all the time, not so much here, at-least not in high tourist areas.

It is my understanding in Europe, their versions of the same products that originated in the US (such as Ocean Spray), the ingredient list is different because regulators have determined some of those ingredients aren't good for their population. Are you finding similar situations in Mexico?
