Spatchcock chicken is when they remove the backbone and then flatten the chicken. So much easier to cook, and the breast cooks in the same time as the let us. Essentially the bird fully cooks in about half the time.

Spatchcock is when they split a whole chicken and sorta butterfly the whole dang thing. :D It just sounds extra fancy. lol I edit to add, am I the only one that can't find 409? Just simple 409! I can't find hide nor hair of it anywhere. I had just bought a bottle in February (pre-'rona) and now I'm getting down to the last dregs. I use Mrs. Meyers for my counters but sometimes 409 is all you need.

My wife and I are going through a really rough time, not only financially, but in our marriage, and one of the things that no matter what always used to bring us together was our grocery shopping and imagining all of the different foods and meals we were planning for. Good haul. I think it’s easier to bring us shopping with you. Gives us a look into what other people buy. I agree about the fish sticks. It’s been close to 20 years since I had any I liked. More of a chicken girl. I would love to eat blue cheese like your family does. Because of my sever penicillin allergy I avoid it. I have ate it in small amounts. But my throat swelled up so much one day when out eating a salad with my family. Well. It was bad. I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room. I was blessed that day. So I go cold turkey.

Enjoyed shopping with you... Spatchcock IS a funny word. As I'm sure others have shared with you and you've researched on your own. It's just a method of removing the backbone (not the breast bone) and flattening the chicken to cook more evenly, whether it be in the oven or on the grill. The are a few KZbin videos of "how to's" which take the mystery out of it. And my only thing with any of the ones I watched.. always tuck the wing tips back towards the underneath side of the chicken..prevents burning and overcooking. Best wishes!

You are civilized and also the shop look very much the same as we have it here in Europe and about the same size. We may have more different product on the shelfs as it is so many country here and we can buy all counties product. Thank you again, for your NICE introduction from Europe from a genuine European,

Spatchcock chicken is the way it is cut. Basically they break the breast bone down the middle but they don’t cut through the breast meat. This totally flattens the breast.

Pepitas are roasted pumpkin seeds. Super yummy and good for you. Loved this video! Shopping with you was quite soothing. Spatchcock Chicken is when you cut the backbone out of the chicken, slice down the breast bone, then press down and break the breastbone so the chicken lays flatter rather than cooking in a round mass, it lays flat and cooks quite nicely and evenly.
