@jdt9177Ай бұрын
@@vilious Well, TB & Gronk beat Mahomes & Kelce in an AFC championship and in a Super Bowl. They have totally different styles too. Kelce is good at what he’s does but he has a much softer style of play than Gronk. He isn’t as physical, as strong or as dominant and he definitely can’t block as well as Gronk. Kelce can run routes and get open. Gronk could snag the ball in double coverage, get physical to go up and get 50/50 balls, and run guys over. He could block just as good as a lineman in the run game. Gronk still holds the record for most TDs in a season by a TE. He scored 17 TDs during his 2nd second (and best season) but Kelce has only scored 12 TDs during his best season. Idgaf about yard cuz Gronk was the better TE, his only negative attribute was his “run em over” style of play because it got him injured. Kelce is great but he isn’t as dominate or powerful as Gronk. If u needed a TE to get physical and overpower a defender to snag a game winning catch would u choose Gronk or Kelce?? Kelce plays like a receiver. Gronk is the all around better TE.

Gronk came in to a league with Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates and took the mantle as best tight end ever real quick. He could catch anything, was impossible to match up with, loved to block, and played through pain. LBs were too slow to cover him, DBs were too small to take him down. He could block the top rushers one-on-one. He progressed each and every year skills wise.

If Gronk played 2 or 3 more 50/700/5 years, he'd be the ultimate GOAT. Yes, he had Brady but Gronk was unstoppable. Gates was the only weapon after LT left the Chargers. Kelce only 3 times Gronk set the all time TE record for most TDs in a season 17 Gronk has 92 TDs while Kelce only has 74 Tds in 19 games more Gronk fumbled only 5 times in his career, Kelce has fumbled 13 times The only thing Kelce has is more total catches and yards for his career. This includes the fact Gronk was out of the league for a year, retired. Look up the two player's stats on pro football reference if you don't believe me. Gronk literally just gets his head turned around a split second b4 the ball is right there wherever it needs to be whether it be in dbl coverage, a 50/50 ball or any other type of coverage. Just imagine if he showed up a year earlier or Moss didnt move on. I mean who are the opposing teams gonna double not to mention the slot receivers who would have had a field day if not one or the other recievers. It would also open up the running game so much more the pass would likely become secondary on most downs. Js
