If you want to do a solid color tie, opt for something with more texture. Solid colors in satins or matte flat fabrics almost universally look like part of a rental set. (Yes, you can get nice satin or faille ties from like Charvet, but unless that's in your budget, go with something textured.)

I knew this would work because burgundy and blue were the two wedding colours at my wedding. The groom and groomsmen all wore variations of navy suits while burgundy was my side with the bridesmaids, flower girls and Father of the Bride in burgundy (in his case mixed with dark charcoal suit).

Personally I wouldn't opt to put the groomsmen in suit jackets, especially not darker than the groom, since that doesn't allow the groom to stand out especially well. What I'm seeing from this video is that the groomsmen are gonna steal the spotlight more than the groom is! Given these colour choices, I'd be putting the groomsmen in navy vests/waistcoats, perhaps even swap their ties for bow ties, keeping the groom's outfit the same as in the video. Just allows for more contrast and makes the groom more of a focal point without sacrificing uniformity.
