Possibly the worst Beeching closure in the South ,cutting of Heathfield ,Mayfield and Hailsham from the rail network. This would be a very heavily used rail line if it were open today even during off peak services it would be busy considering the built up areas and route from the South Coast to London were to consider. Idiot closure !!.

Totally agree with you . A brainless closure and it did affect transport connections like all Beeching cuts.
