We don't have any kind of animal control... And those people would never give the dog to grooming withouth paying them. We just had to pay. In other case, this dog would still be neglected and in horrible condition. That money is motivation for the owners to do something with their dogs. Of course, we made money on YT with dogs like this, but this is not the main reason for grooming them. We were shaving dogs like this and before and withouth cameras.

I often watch S Korean video. At times it includes rescues of up to 30 or 40 poor dogs living (and dying) in appalling conditions caged for meat production. I also hate to see barns full of cows and pigs that never in their short znd imprisoned lives see the sun just to feed the overstuffed populations of do called civilised countries like mine.

@@GroomHouse It's so sad how some animals have to live. Lots of dogs from Serbia come here to Switzerland. My two are from Hungary. Animal control has to ask the owners if they are allowed to rescue them from them. The people who owned (and tortured) my first allowed her to be rescued because it would save them driving to the killing station. Horrible and completely riidiculous that you have to ask permission to save a dog from that.

You’re not going to get away with stealing someone’s dog when the owner almost certainly has photo evidence, adoption records, family who can vouch that the dog belongs to them, impartial neighbors who can verify they’ve seen the dog living at that house, in that yard, etc etc. it’s just not a reasonable plan or solution you should be encouraging anyone to do in a situation like this. Animal abuse and neglect is already against the law, and you can report anyone you suspect is abusing their pet to the appropriate authorities who have the power to assess the situation and forcibly remove the animal from that situation if they’re not being appropriately cared for.

a few people were asking - I believe these groomers are in Croatia or that general area. There are no rescues or laws about animals so this was the best they could do - it did seem a healthy weight so he has been feeding him. Likely pride made the owner say he loved the dreadlocks. There was no other sign of abuse so hopefully with this fresh haircut the owner will find it easier to brush out the dog and see how much happier the dog is.

@@easternhops imagine whatever country they are in has no spca, or police who care. The SPCA is a rescue, so if there was an SPCA there would be someone to rescue the pup. Usually where you have SPCA’s, they have animal protection officers. Obviously they are not in North America, or the British Isles. 💔

The dog's hair will take a long time to become as bad as it was. I imagine many would prefer to be relieved of pain, even if short lived.

It's also very possible the owner just loves the Puli look. They live in a country with a lot of Pulis and this dog might even be a sort of Puli mix. Many Pulis aren't even corded properly they are allowed to look exactly the way this dog did.

@@GotAnUmbrella I am not familiar with that breed as I live in Australia but it doesn't look good in its' natural form without a groom. I think if I lived there, regardless of what others do, I would always have my puli dog groomed.

@@dee-smart if you had your Puli groomed that means you would have it washed and have its dreads separated. That's how you groom a Puli. Bergamasco shepherds, Komondors, and Pulis all are corded breeds. People that keep them as working dogs often have them shaved alongside the sheep. They naturally grow into cords. Havanese, Spanish waterdogs, and Poodles can all be corded and people do so even in Australia. But those breeds need human help to become corded unlike the other breeds.

I guess you could cord any dog as long as they have hair not fur, and the hair grows long enough. I probably wouldn't do it except if its a breed like the Puli who is used to the weight of the cords.

Because some dog coats simply do not take well to cording - they do not have the right length or texture to develop cords. If you tried it with most hair breeds it wouldn't work.
