It is so nice to see a groomer be calm, soft spoken, and slow moving around their dogs. I see so many groomers on KZbin that completely stress their dogs out by slamming and jamming, putting the dog here, then there, it stresses me out just watching.....like they are racing the clock....there is a fine line between "time is money" and stressing the dogs out.

I’ve watched a lot of videos as a new Groomer and I must say you have such a nice, easy casual style. It’s absolutely wonderful. The dog does not look stressed and you are so practical about your approach. I wish you taught classes! I think you are very talented!

Thank you for putting that out about the ears. Not only do groomers have to be trained, pet owners expect us to deal with their dogs bad ears, skin ect. I have been grooming for 40yrs and have lost clients because their vet told them that I should be plucking and removing that from the ears. I hope more people see your videos. Your right That is not my job!!!!

Im so impressed with your kindness to the dog. Honoring his little heart and making this a tolerable experience for him. Also I'm thankful for all the extra tips you gave us. I have a miniature cockapoo that I keep very short. I can't wait to practice on his face, its always difficult because i didn't understand how to do it. Thank u so much.

Check out fear free pets website for pet owners training tips. Find a groomer willing to work without a high velocity dryer, too. Ask the groomer if you can wash the dog the day before ( still be willing to pay full price). Ask for a one one one appointment, and find a groomer who understands and likes cockers ( I have owned 3 🙂 ). Maybe this will help. Or learn to groom him yourself.

Hi, lost my two girls ages 15 yrs. And 11 1/2 yrs. They had evidently easy to groom hair. My new dog I got him at 4 months old. My new dog is now one. I am having an awful time finding a groomer he is a yorkipoo looks mostly poodle 10 pounds. He has hair like cotton. The groomers either chop him ugly or shave. Still looking for a groomer. I live in Ohio. He does have hair like cotton. I have been getting him groomed since 4 months old. Any tips? Possibly? Would be so much appreciated! Thanks in advance. 💕

What’s the name of this cut
@grandestyledoggrooming10 ай бұрын
It is a freestyle trim, it really doesn't have a name.
@victoriaseager5013 Жыл бұрын
This is the wrong way to cut a dog. Her technique is sound but you must always wash, dry and groom the dog thoroughly before any cutting happens. If you don’t fine dirt can get into the razor, blunt the blade and damage the razor. Brushing alone doesn’t get rid of this fine dirt only washing does. This dirt also blunts scissors faster and can damage the blade. Always wash your dogs first and dry them with a blaster on their bodies and the gentler dryer on their faces, brush them thoroughly for smooth mat free fur and then cut and style them. I am sure there are some courses available on bathing preparing a dog for cutting. Keep up the good work.
@victoriaseager5013 Жыл бұрын
Also why isn’t he strapped to the top beam? He already looked at the razor nervously at the start. Even if he knew her he can still attempt to jump off the table and hurt himself. I don’t think this is very professional and good advice at all.

Sometimes cutting the bulk is good for saving time on the drying part. Yes it can damage your equipment if you do it constantly but it does help tremendously in the long run for these poodle/doodle breeds. Then there is some that just don’t get bathed or get bathed at home. You always think of the betterment of the dog, even if it risks your equipment. She even explains why she’s doing this in the video (not even 10 mins in).
@musixx75639 ай бұрын
@@thejec245 or if the dog is pelted matted you need to cut first otherwise the shampoo and water won't reach all the way to the skin and prevents those already tight Mats from getting tighter.
