THE TO KNOT IS FAR BACK... BEAUTIFUL IDEA...GIVES AN EXCELLENT LOOK TO THE HEAD....AND NOT CLOWNISH
@DeborahBrown-sb6jc11 ай бұрын
THIS IS INDEED THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POM POM.... WHY....? BECAUSE THIS GROOMER IS AN ARTIST. HE PUT THIS POM POM TO FULL HEAD., NOT A KNOT ON TOP OF HEAD. THIS DOG IS DONE JUST SO DARLING. WE THANK YOU FOR THE SHARE OF YOUR TALENT.

I’ve always wanted a standard poodle just because I love how elegant they look but that’s so much upkeep but I feel like it’s worth it in the end😭
@thinwolf45164 жыл бұрын
Inyia_marie A poodle is so much more than looking elegant; unless you are prepared for enormous energy, intelligence, and unique personality, plus the grooming, please go for something else.

Your dog is super patient when you do his feet. That’s always my struggle when grooming my two standards. My dog Cajun pulls his paws back every five seconds! It’s so annoying! What a beautiful dog you have!🐩

I love the trust Waverly shows in Chris, and how gentle he is as he grooms her. He is clearly an animal lover, you see a small mixed breed dog run by at one point, and you can hear parakeets chirping in the background. Really nice.
@orreauva39344 жыл бұрын
Laurence Hauben The chirping was the small dog barking at 2x speed hahaha most of the video is sped up
@kleinpoodle4 жыл бұрын
@@orreauva3934 How funny, it sounded like chirping birds:) Talkative little guy! I have a poodle named Lily, she looks like she could be Waverly's sister. I groomed her yesterday after I watched your video, she came out looking pretty good, I still need to scissor her legs. Groomers are closed right now.

Such kind and sweet eyes 💎 Beautiful and well trained. Love that you were gentle and still did a great cut (so many people seem to think gruff and tough is the only way to handle...they need the reminder 'hey there's a living soul under that hair you're shoving around'). Enjoyed your video

Beautiful. I really like your video, thank you for sharing it. Great cute. Your dog is so beautiful and well behaved. We have a small female black standard poodle. Her name is Onyx. I think I am going to do her cut like yours next time she goes to the groomer. Thanks again :)

What type of scissors do you recommend for someone wanting to learn how to trim top knots like this ? And what products do you suggest ? You do wonderful work. And she’s gorgoeus.
@orreauva39345 жыл бұрын
Michelle Price Some nice curved sheers are essential for a lot of poodle grooming really. You will want to find ones that you like and feel nice in your hand rather than buying ones because someone else likes them because you may not get along with them like that person does. There’s a great shop called the Scissor Boutique, I think they are on FaceBook and will help you choose something you like. As for products it depends on what you want. I use multiple things. For shampoo I use Wahl Deep black or Milly’s rhubarb. I don’t usually use conditioner because they don’t really need it but dezyna dog balsam conditioner is great. Dezyna dog sculpture rinse helps with keeping the coat crisp and uplifted for scissoring and you can also use Chris Christensen thick and thicker (before the sculpture rinse) but it can leave the coat feeling a little soft even though it does help thicken it. Before brushing the coat after it’s dry and sometimes during drying I use K9 crisp mist spray. Hope that has helped :)

Just to add, I am thinking about doing a video on how I bathe my poodle to maintain them so I will include what I am using in that video and show how I wash them and how I blast and fluff dry

I have been wanting a standard poodle but grooming cost scares me! How long have you been grooming your dog to be proficient.? I have read start when their a puppy to get them accustomed. Beautiful, obedient pet. When you use the clippers on his coat our you using a number 1 or 2 guard?
@orreauva39345 жыл бұрын
I've been grooming for 6 years, self taught lol I rarely use guard combs and prefer to use blades and scissor if I want it longer. In the video I think I used a 5f blade for the body

Chris Orreauva , thanks for the info! I am just amazed at your talent for grooming, I have seen many videos yours are the best. Is this the poodle you got your experience? A great dog

61soldiergirl I have 5 dogs, my oldest is 6 so I started on her (a Pom x poodle) then got a miniature poodle and then I have 3 standards (mum and her 2 pups)
@61soldiergirl5 жыл бұрын
Chris Orreauva I watch your video in obedience class, are the classes the reason your dog is so awesome or is it the breed? Or both? I had 3 German Shepard’s, boy the shed! All 3 were very smart and great dogs, always wanted a standard poodle. Watching your interaction with your dog is like wAtching music. You and your dog are in sync, wonderful relationship.
