Groot Garbage Trucks on Christmas Eve

‘Twas the day before Christmas, when I decided to go film some Groot trucks! I was hoping to maybe find one of the spare WXLL McNeilus FLs but instead I was told they only sent out 2254, a sister unit of 2244. None of this would be possible without all the very kind drivers who helped me find other trucks working in the area. Most trucks finished the area I was in by lunch to go help out up north of where I was filming, so I was only able to grab a handful of clips of each truck featured here.
Trucks featured:
2244 ( 00:13 ) Mack LEU McNeilus Contender: Here’s a guy I’m always very happy to film, since he’s always very nice to me and he’s a very fast, hard worker. He always gets out of the truck and he updates me about things at the yard and all that good stuff. I was only able to film a few stops of his before he went up north to help out, but I’m planning on finding him again soon.
2614 ( 06:20 ) ACX Heil Freedom: I found him first working recycling, going just as fast as when I saw him the first time, and if not even faster. He’s really a pro’s pro behind the wheel, and he’s always very courteous and professional towards customers.
2604 ( 09:00 ) ACX Heil Freedom: I’ve never filmed this truck or driver before, but the driver was very helpful. He spent a few minutes radioing the driver of 2244 so I could find him. Unfortunately, he only had a street left before he had to go dump and then he’d be going up north too.
2505 ( 10:01 ) CNG Mack LEU613 Heil Python: This is one of about 4 side Loaders left in the yard, and it won’t be long until they’re sent somewhere else. By end of next year they’ll most likely have more larger FLs like 2244 in their place.

Great video! The LEUs were my favorites for sure. The FL sounded really nice, and the Python was a lot of fun to watch. Both trucks look really nice in Groot’s paint scheme too. The ACXs were fun as well, particularly the one on recycling. That guy is pretty fast! Nice work!

TwinCitiesTrash Thank you!! The LEU Curotto is actually my favorite out of the entire shop! That Python is pretty cool too, I hope they decide too keep them around. That guy has to be my favorite ACX operator since in general those trucks don’t sound very well and they tend to be slow, but this guy knows how to do it right! Excellent video! Those Curottos sure are fast! Thats too bad they want to send the pythons away, theyre my favorite. Ever seen those python drivers take two carts at the same time. Theyre is enough space in the grabbers for two cans. Dig those 90 gallon AW Ottos!

TheNVTrashMan Thank you! They sure are! I really hope they stay too, I really like them! Unfortunately I haven’t because there’s hardly any houses with two recycle carts, and the ones that do are serviced by curotto’s. I really like those carts too! Thanks for the comment!

Those pythons might stay because city of Elgin contract comes up at the end of 2019 and word on the street is groot is going for it

Nice job man. My favorite had to be the first and last truck. I love the sound of the take off on the first truck. I also hope I can film a Heil Python one day. Great job
