They don’t make music like this anymore. MOBY, groove armada, some cafe del mar and Ibiza heads… something about about the turn of the millennium just has an amazing vibe, totally unique. The clothes, the way the cities in Europe felt, the streets, the people and especially the music. I love the early 2000’s, I still remember those days so clearly. Shoutout to anyone who lived through those times and knows what I mean. ✌️

Very very true such a unique vibe triphop music from that era. Most people dont seem into it. They usually like indie sorta stuff. Atmospheric intelligent drum and bass/jungle is also vastly unappreciated. Just throwing that in there.

At 2:46, when the violins begin, this song makes me want to burst into tears, and not happy tears. My Mum, who had been my rock, until she passed in 2017, steered me through a life of disability and 50 years later, made me who I am today. She was so comforting and gentle. I'll never ever forget her. ❤️

My father also passed away in 2017. Music has the power to catch emotions in a fast strong way like no others form of arte. It is in all of us. Each One of us feels it deeply (no matter the happy or sad tears). Sad tears can have beautiful emotions and memories. This is nota about the music, but about your feelings, grieving and healing ❤

For some of you that enjoy this song as much as me, I recommend also checking out Cantoma, Blank & Jones, Thievery Corporation, Schwarz & Funk, Thierry David, Ulrich Schnauss and Sunlounger. I had this song on a playlist when I was traveling by rail in Spain from city to city in 2013. It almost has a James Bond/exploring unfamiliar areas vibe to it, at least to me. It was my first trip to Europe with some good friends of mine. Will forever be one of the best trips I've ever been on and one of my favorite songs, mentally taking me there each time I hear it.

What she doesn't know is at times I feel like I don't know what to do myself and have some anxiety not knowing what to expect. That's when I come here to recollect my thoughts, composure and formulate a solid strategy that can have the both of us moving forward towards our goals in life without flailing, hand in hand with one another. The power of great music lies in its abilities to touch our soul and allow unnamed emotions that hid inside of us to come out fully recognizable. Inspiring music on the other goes one step further. Inside sealed eyelids stories are created, plots are drafted with their own set of tension and release, heroes and villains, quests and battles (Gerard Beaubrun)

Now my life is way better, but I know that some traumatic stuff will definitely happen... Dying family members for example... Getting older is scary. But... To sum up... Life is good right now. Similar feeling here. I picture an extremely fragile serenity. One that is tragically but subtly lost by the end of the song. If this were a film, I think a few scenes later we'd see our main character descend into a very chaotic despair, becoming completely unhinged to the sound of Mirwais' Disco Science.

Edge Hill is the last station before Liverpool Lime Street, leading to the well known sexual euphemism “getting off at Edge Hill” which means pulling out just before the point of no return. As in “did you use a condom?”, “no mate, I got off at Edge Hill”.

The slight contrast between darkness and beautifulness, and the integration between them, their cycling. And although I grasp the violin part as the one representing beauty, I also think of it as the inception of something, which consists of hardship, iterations, and many falls, until arriving to a wholesome and final version of itself. . . Just some notions, not coherent but that's ok.

Feel the same way. It's not happy, it's not uplifting, the only thing I can relate it to is...getting older and remembering a place you lived to visit as a kid & understanding that place is now lost to you. You're living now in a very different place, and some days it seems like too much, but you must journey on, a stranger in a strange land called the future.
