The fact that I needed to do a lot of work to find good footage for this video should be enough to tell you that this game isn't played as much as the others. With that said, here's another video where I basically talk about why you should play a rhythm game for 7 minutes.

gc is for sure one of my most favourite arcade rhythm games, its easy to learn and hard to master we stan ad libs it rewards keeping in time/ghost tapping

God I love the aidlib feature. It’s great when there’s songs I like and I know just when to press to get bonus points even if I’ve never played the chart. It’s always fun seeing where they hide them. Great video by the way, been waiting for this one for a while

I know exactly what you mean The first time I played Remote Controller once I found out there's a chart for it, I instinctually hit the boosters on parts I felt like mimicking the song on and got like 75% of the hidden notes on my first playthrough

Groove Coaster is definitely one of my favorite rhythm games, and one of the most accessible for new players. It's on switch, mobile, and has an arcade cabinet, with a simple input layout and note types. Most people I know who see me play the arcade version can figure out what I'm doing almost instantly. Also side note but 0:59 the newest release is Groove Coaster 4MAX DIAMOND GALAXY, which came out in 2020 (idk why they haven't just released Groove Coaster 5 at this point lol)

Because the gc community was memeing too much and taito must have found out if they make gc5 and like past iteration they'll add an EX at the end which make GC 5EX

This series is one of my favorite rhythm games for sure, there's just one thing I kinda have a love/hate relationship with, and that's ad-libs. Those are a great idea on paper and when you're a new player, until you realize pretty soon that they're ALL mandatory to get the perfect score of 1 million. And while a lot of them are fun and intuitive to find, a lot of them also aren't that fun and even obscure sometimes, which makes me want to either look them up or use the "visible" item instead of searching for them. Great game nonetheless, just not very "sight-read" friendly if you care about actual Full Chains.

It's sad they discontinued the arcade version, and it was really sad when my local Round 1 got rid of the cabinet for it.

Great video! Groove Coaster has become my #1 rhythm game. I just can't get enough of it. And have spent way too much money on getting all those DLC packs on Switch :( I have yet to try the arcade version, but I wish I could one day!

Groove Coaster is one of my favorite Rhythm Games. Right tafter Taiko no Tatsujin. Unfortunately I have no arcade cabinets anywhere near where I live. 😔 I have been trying to get my hands on one of the arcade controller but they do not seem to be sold anywhere anymore.

other than guitar hero, no other rhythm game has captured my attention more than this one. since my first introduction to it during november of last year, i’ve literally played this as many chances as i possibly could. luckily my local round 1 still has the cabinet and i was able to play is almost everyday since then. groove coaster has become one of my favorite games of all time and it’s nice to see that some people give it the attention it deserves. it’s going to suck having it go offline forever on march 31st but offline play will help keep me coming back no matter what. thank you fnweeaboo for making this amazing video about an amazing game.❤️

On my first ever trip to a Round 1, I played Project Diva and Groove Coaster. This game was really fun, and having Cruel Angel's Thesis just made it even better in my book. Sad that it was in Vegas, and the closest Round 1 to me is in LA. A city super close to me is JUST getting a Dave and Busters, so MAYBE they'll get a R1 some time in the future? I doubt it, but it'd be AWESOME if they did.

just got home from my first try in this 😆 i had so much fun!!🔥 my cousin's the one who's supposed to be buying the fun in the arcade but oh well it's my first and it's very worth my time. the track choices are very limited actually. all are vocaloid tracks which i'm not really familiar of a lot but i do know some and i played it. only one cabinet is available (it's an old version i guess, from where i'm located at). so i had this one person who's switching with after every 2 tunes(?). he thought me how to operate it hehe. thankful for him! but srsly i really had fun with this. as a shut in person, i'd like to go out and deal with the crowd and noise for this ✨✨

Next: "Why arcade game machines are expensive, and how can manufacturers make it cheaper." Plss Konami, Sega, Bandai, make your machines affordable for arcade centre..
@FNWeeaboo
@FNWeeaboo 2 жыл бұрын
As much as I find that idea interesting I don't think the cost of machines are the issue rather the lack of interest in these types of games in the western market which is an actual topic that I might discuss. Besides, I'd need a good grasp of the entire process of manufacturing and distributing machines if I do want to tackle that subject.

I would like to do an overview of Taiko someday however I don't have a reliable way to access it in the arcades. I know there's a version on Switch but I'd like to cover both versions. Also I'm not that good at Taiko compared to other games so I can't in good conscience cover the game right now.

Yeah, those are some huge downsides given how accessible some other games are (like Muse Dash). So if you don't live near a rare Arcade in today's world (or if you don't live in Japan, let's be frank), you'll have to fork over $600 on Switch. By comparison to other offerings, hell, open-source and free-to-play offerings that have custom maps, it's a hard bargain. But if you really enjoy the gameplay, over time you'll probably spend that much money if you keep coming back (especially if you want specific songs in your library). Like if the price point on Switch wasn't so terrible (again, compared to other games in the same genre), I think this'd be a good investment if you really enjoy it, but unless you are in for the long haul, there are other options that have a better business model. But hey, if you play Rhythm Games, you are probably a gacha gamer with a rather large expendable income (given you likely play on mobile anyway).
