God damn, that ride cymbal... I had a teacher once who lent me his flat ride to mess around with for a weekend... Only cymbal I've played that seemed to have a genuine volume knob built into it. The dynamic control was so outside of it that I felt cheated playing on my ol' trash can lid afterward.

I think It's just to show It's a valued practice tool! Not everyone has the pleasure of a full acoustic kit at home. That's just my thought I could be wrong.

e drums are great for practicing if you don't have a place for a drumset. And good for hooking up to your computer and composing stuff.

I don't know why, but I feel that it would be cool to hear some kind of break beat by Jojo Mayer played to that tune in the end. Not that the jazz stuff isn't great, Igoe is an amazing drummer, but I just visualized it in my head :P

always on 2 and 4 if you listen closely
@riddletha14 жыл бұрын
When you play swing on a ride, pls move your arms! play accents on 2 and 4 with help from your arm, starting from your elbow. Then it sounds more rolling.
