I haven't heard this song in a looooooong time, but yeah, it was everywhere when I was in elementary school. They played this during some of the assemblies at school, and all the girls would start singing the lyrics (they knew them all) and putting their hands up every time they heard "Hands up". Ah, man, memories! I remember, as a kid, I couldn't believe how the song would take over the whole gymnasium. It's funny it didn't chart in the U.S., but it was a big hit in the U.K. and in New Zealand as well.
