My dad was maybe 8 or 9 in this story! One night my grandpa was forced to work extra shifts,and my grandma and my dad didnt want to stay home alone, so my grandma said pack your bags, lets go to your (his) grandmas house. So they pcked their stuff and the started driving. Maybe 2 miles away from the house, they saw a huge black wolf maybe 6 feet tall standing on 2 legs in the middle pf the road. My grandma speeded driving, as the dog followed them. She went through my great grandmas yard and parked by the porch and ran inside. They stayed at the door with a shotgun as the wolf paced back in forth on the road in front of them, occasionally looking at the door, waiting for them to come out. It eventually left. I'm navajo native American and I know alot about them once you whisle they come for you and at night they come out looking for animals to shape-shifting into, they will haunt you and make you see stuff that nobody can see, they mostly turn into coyotes, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, mostly anything. I got haunted once I started seeing stuff and heard noises, they put something under my house so it could follow me everywhere and haunt me. I just thought about it, and I HAVE seen a skinwalker, I just didn’t know about them when I saw it. So basically I was like 7 years old walking with my two best friends and we went to this place we called like the ‘spray paint tunnel’ or smth bc it was one of those big water tunnels with spray paint on it. It was in the forest with a gate around it, not fully around it just guarding it from the road. It was really near the road and sidewalk though. So basically there were a bunch of rocks down there and we saw a giant black dog that started growling at us with these really weird eyes. There was something about them... I am native so a lot of our stories are passed down by eachother, one story always sticks with me. My grandmother sat me down and told me about an in counter with her dad and a monster. My great grandfather was a trapper, he lived off the land and was very religious, he had no problem being in the forest at night. One night he was coming home from checking his traps, he suddenly got this strange feeling of being watched. All his instincts told him to run, but he brushed it off as paranoia. As he walking though he hears what sound like heavy footsteps walking in the forest, he called out and asked if anyone one was there, no answer. So he continued and so did the footsteps, by this time he was back near the house just about to open the door, when he hears some sort of demonic scream. From our chaptiqes this could either be a skin stealer or the wendigo. My grandfather went into the house smudged, then proceeded to pray. This story stuck with him and so did it to me. It’s not just him with stories like this, almost everyone on my community has one. TIL this day nobody goes into the forest late at night. Yet I still feel watched it my own home, I hate it.

you Should check out the new Jersey devil my hole family has story's my mom always tells me about how my grandfather who sadly passed away when I was really little he hunted the new Jersey devil and he actually killed one and cut off it's antler and my mom would say let's go fins it in the attic we never found it but she said that it could've been in the old house attic but when we got there the house was abandoned but no horn or antler my mom would always say that it was a long black horn about the size of an arm

A story that once happened to me is that it was me and my brother home alone at night because my parents when to my sister because she was sick, I was 6 at the time and i kept looking out the window to see if mom or dad is coming back cuz i can't see without them but later when i looked again i saw a distorted figure looking straight at me and it definately wasn't human. I kept looking at it wondering what it could be but i never seemed to find out and then when i took a 10 second break and looked back it was gone and never to be seen again, Later i see abnormal things happening around me and they aren't bad just things moving. My brother was just sleeping.

I once went with a few of my friends to an abandoned mtb trail to explore it a bit and repair it, to be able to ride it.Everything was pretty normal, we even found some bones but definitely not human(they were propably from a wild boar), but then we heard a scream- and for SOME reason my friend screamed back... i don´t know why he did that but he has already done it... and then we heard it again... I litterary ran FOR MY LIFE. we got out of there and nothing like that happened since. But every time I think about it i get tears in my eyes and just get a chill down my spine. Also as a Missouri, camping, hiking, and kayaking bro I’ve had experiences with wild animals before. A lot of the screams they heard were just cougars, sometimes Coyotes from what I heard. Didn’t really see anything especially strange here. I live in a good sized town outside of KC and we still get packs of 50-100 coyotes howling at night. You can hear them while you sit out back sometimes. If you watch the back yard at night you can watch them prowl around too. Natures one creepy thing alright. But don’t be scared because coyotes don’t really mess with you. Bring a gun with you camping if you have an IQ over 2. People realize real quick why you need them a lot more out here than in Europe while you’re in the great big world.
