I just cannot let both of you know how much I truly appreciate seeing fathers and daughters / sons doing reactions to my favorite band, or anything really lol. I raised my daughter for a good chunk of her childhood as a single father with full custody, she did high school with mom up in Ohio and mom and I actually get along well and co-parent well which I am clearly lucky with that, and now she actually moved back down to FL for college which is dope because I enjoy seeing and speaking with her more ya know. I have a intelligent, respectful son that just turned 13, Isabella is 19 as of June 1st, half my age almost since yes I’m 40 I’m old as shit lol. We connect through the MCU/ going to see Marvel movies together, both of them have been on my YT channel! Thank you!

They were in Dallas and Houston last October, and they'll be in Houston and Austin May 14-15. I grew up in the Dallas area so I took the opportunity to go back home and see Band-Maid. It was worth the long drive, over and over again. They do have that undefinable "it." There are a lot of people that judge musicians on the technical aspects of music - how fast or how precisely they play - but that's like judging an artist on how straight their lines are. There's something else that makes a good musician great, that "it" factor. They've got "it."

Trust me, you don't want to pass up the opportunity to see them live when you can, you never know what the future holds... I passed up a 2019 show in NYC thinking "I'll just catch them next year, when they are sure to come back..." well, we all know what happened in the world over the last few years... October 2022 they finally could returned to touring & to the US, & I FINALLY got to see them... twice! They were two of the most epic concerts I have ever seen!

A little tip, if you DO decide to go with your daughter, get VIP tickets & arrive a few hours early if possible to get as close as possible. If you are close enough, they will surely notice your daughter & she will probably get at least a pick handed to her by one of them... maybe more! There was a little boy in the front row of the Boston concert last year who got a pick from Miku & Kanami, & a drum stick from Akane! ...They love the little "Masters & Princesses". 😊

My favourite Maid track. The songwriting is killer. Highly complex and constantly evolving throughout the song. The performance is off the chart. You should get the names. In the engine room its Akane (Ah Ka neigh) on drums and Misa (Misa Misa Misa) on Bass and cans of beer. Kanami on lead guitar (main songwriter), Saiki on lead vocals and finally Miku (backing vocals, band leader, Pidgeon fancier and lyricist). They have a great back story also. You are spot on with your comments at the end. Akane, Misa and Kanami are widely regarded as world class musicians. They are all multi instrumentalists, Misa and Akane attended one of the best music colleges in the world. Kanami was classically trained in piano from a young age and began songwriting in her teens.

You can expect a bit more new live MV's from the Tokyo Garden Theater (TGT) show from Jan 9, 2023, since the TGT Blu-ray/DVD will be released on Apr. 26, 2023, Po! Was at this show and some of the 2022 US tour. It's very family friendly show. Btw, music education in Japan is mandatory and starts in primary school where students are required to master 2 instruments. When they move to High school, girls then to continue with music ed., primarily in marching or symphony band, or Rock clubs. Boys tend to go to sports. The product of that plan is what you see here today. Btw, Band Maid will be playing in Houston and Austin in May 2023, Po! 🦍🍌

Miku Kobato uses a washable red dye on her hair. She colors her hair at every performance to maintain that red color. She colors the tips and a little higher of her pigtails. Lately, I've seen her color the entire back of her head that red color as well. That one is not that obvious.

I wonder if you and your daughter would like XG (Xtraordinay Girls). They’re new. A 7-member Japanese girl group, based in South Korea, all songs in English. They all speak Japanese, Korean and English. If you like Blackpink, you may like XG. Their latest songs are “Shooting Star” and “Left Right”. Thanks. To really get the best of the sound, you should both wear over the ear headphones instead of ear buds. Trust Me, you will like it MUCH more. And for your first listen, ignore the lyrics and let the music roll over you. Then go back later and examine the lyrics. I"ve found that splitting my attention takes away some of the enjoyment of the music. And that is Miku with her Twin Tails. If she had her hair down it's below her shoulder blades. And Kanami had a few mistakes in the performance, they did sort of fix one of them in post processing at the beginning of her solo, but that is how you know this is LIVE. Some bands will completely replace their performance in post, but the Ladies of Band-Maid don't Milli Vanilli their music. And they are in Houston May 14th and Austin May 15th. I am hoping to be at the Houston show myself. If you are closer to Austin, the venue there is a little smaller so if you want tickets I'd get them quick.
