I'm from Germany. I've never seen that ride before - but I love it. That minions soundtrack sent me... Thanks for sharing this, it was randomly recommended to me today lol. Usually, I strongly dislike when people call European amusement park rides Disneyland knock-offs (or a stationary fair ride, in this case). Tough, this one definitely does have a Frozen scene and Raya inspired trains, but that's it and doesn't make it a knock-off in my eyes. In my experience, Americans often seem to forget that our fairy tales and stories were used by Disney, not the other way around lol

ADORE this. No; not the quality. That clearly doesn't exist and also everyfigure in this ride is cursed. Sven from Frozen looks like that werewolf from Neverending Story. I mean in effort and idea. Looks better than 90% of what they have in Disney parks today. I love diaramas and minitures and also nice little pseudo-animated large scale scenes. I hate the Disneyland storybook canals because they have to have an annoying skipper pantemime to the kids about who's castle you're seeing and I just wanna enjoy the scenery. Even as a little kid I didn't want a person who's not my mom going "And next up we have ALADDIN-". Shut up! I'm 4 and I'm here to guess and point and get all hyped up about what comes next with my mom, not YOU! I love the idea of minitures that display scenes from fairytales, including ones that haven't been made into famous movies. That's my jam. I legit don't have Efteling at home and also I like the idea of seeing the fairybook land's unique takes on the stories -like how in the Little Red Riding Hood scene it looks like Red's sweetly chiding the terrifying wolf in the bed while another wolf sits beside the bed all guilty like a dog. JAM. God I would absolutely eat up a ride where you could do this concept but with classical horror stories or something for Halloween. Like, you're on a spooky carriage and it carries you from scenes from Edgar Allan Poe stories to Legend of Sleepy Hollow to Moby Dick. That would be sick.

The Olaf one is pretty new, before that there was a really creepy one, with a small amusement park full of ugly creepy Mickey Mouses … But beside that I don’t think it’s strange, cause it’s an really old fairytale ride, older than you are and everything besides the Olaf one is still original! The ride itself is not a Disney knock off since this one is from 1898. Rides like this one were once really popular and would usually show old classic German fairytales. If I remember correctly Prater has even two of those older ones. Three if you count the Mecky Express. Some of the parts inside however seem to be new. What a weird way to ruin a really old ride.
