I like your videos very much but I am in zone 10a and I really don't know whether your plants can survive in my area but still I think you put out great content and helps a lot of garderners within your planting zone.

It is very true, many of the plants I highlight may not work in your zone, but these Ice plant should do great!

I garden in zone 5 & my absolute favorite is Ice plant. It has spread from 4" plants in pink & white now flowing down a rock wall & "puddling" at the bottom, I love it! Another favorite is Blue Star Creeper which I'm using as a lawn replacement since moles wouldn't leave my lawn alone, it's in full bloom right now covered in tiny blue star-like flowers that the pollinators love (not a good choice if you like to walk barefoot). It does tolerate foot traffic though & I love to see the honey bees all over it. Thanks for your content, I think I'll try some creeping thyme to give my "lawn" a little more variety!

I loooove the blue star creeper! Saw it for the first time about a year ago and my jaw dropped! It’s so lovely. And yes the thyme is worth growing 💯

9:21 I’ve avoided iceplant because I haven’t liked the mono look of it personally, but this is brilliant! Offsetting with different colored ones 👍 love it

I love all of your videos, and get alot of very useful information from them. I live in Lansdale, PA, so you and I share the same gardening zone, and this fact allows me to use your valuable information in my gardens. I like the 3 plants that you have chosen to review. I had a very nice ice plant growing in a very large pot in my gardens for a few years, and it did very well. I was hoping that it would stay in flower a bit longer, but overall it was a good plant. Thanks for sharing your gardening info. with us here in zone 6B. 🥀

I just discovered coopers ice plant last year and I love it! It blooms like crazy and doesn't leave dead blooms to remove. Needs almost no care and easily survived the winter in zone 6 (mountains of Virginia). You can start new plants by just breaking off a section and putting it in the soil!

Good morning Devin! Thanks for another great video! Love the ice plant ( I don’t have any in my yard. Yet! ) Can you do a video on ground cover for part sun/shade area? The east side of my house is shade in the morning ( my neighbor’s tree hangs over our fence ), gets the mid day sun and then shade again. I have a very large oak leaf hydrangea in the corner and some type of viburnum along the fence. Grass doesn’t grow well there. Not the best drainage ( we can work on that ). And our dog likes to run from one side of the house to the other ( east to west and back again ) We are on Long Island, zone 7. Suggestions? Thanks! 🌱

Time is 11:00pm EST Wed 3/14/23 I saw the Creeping Thyme on QVC, found your You Tube Channel, my ? Is this. I have tons on brick rock( was here when we bought)surrounding my house down to the end of my driveway,going down my driveway also is a white sort of ground cover (think it is Phlox)only blooms a few weeks 11in spring, but is growing in this brick. Can I plant the Thyme in amongst the other ground cover and also my soil is somewhat clay and suggestions? Love all the videos & plants, can’t wait!! Thank you!😊

@@plantvibrations I watched the video on the creeping thyme and it could not be simpler. The land does slope down, but I have a lot of clay soil, is there anything I need to do to the soil before my plants arrive, which is soon, I am in zone 7 in Virginia. Thanks for your help Devin!!!

Thanks, I wanted to see an update on the ice plants and sedum flats. I guess I am a bit OCD, but I like to only plant one type of sedum in one area. I have that "blue spruce" in a large area of the garden (Iris too), and Angelina in another area, and some 2-row (tiny) sedum in another area. It is more organized, but also none of the sedum over-power other sedum. I guess I just like the look of large patches of plants-- the ice plants too-- I have all pink ones in one area, all yellow in another (etc). Just my aesthetic I guess.
